I bought this adapter to use with a TAMA microphone stand and could not be happier with it. The stand was high-quality, but it lacked the necessary adapter to use with American microphone mounts. The K&M 252 has proven to be my favorite microphone stand. I ended up buying six of them. I work strictly mobile, and never know exactly what situations I will encounter. The 252 has 3 sections in the base and two in the boom. I can place a mic near the floor, or high enough above a seated musician for a spot mic. I can record a piano on half-stick without removing the boom, or high and low over the strings. The stand is surprisingly heavy, which lends great stability when the boom is extended. 5 |
