Moto G5 Headphone With Mic Not Working

Upgraded from my first moto, a g5 to this moto g power. Moto phones never disappoint. Great battery life. Only setback is the missing back arrow bottom left like the moto g5, swiping back sometimes deletes emails or other alerts and never know where it goes.

My Moto G5 Plus was getting a bit long in the tooth and needed to be charged almost every day. This new Moto G Power lasts about 5-6 days with moderate use. Love it.

Connects to my Moto G7 Power seamlessly, unlike my other Bluetooth headphone where it's always a chore. Sound quality is very good for my main usage (audiodramas. recorded books). I have only used them for music playback a few times. but the sounds seems fine...nothing negative stands out. Sound isolation is excellent.

Mic, Pre-Amp, and Headphone Amp in an all-in-one package! Nice to be able to use a USB mic without the need for a separate pre-amp. Really like the headphone jack incorporated into the unit with separate gain controls for the headphone volume.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the Odyssey G5 for school where I'm working to get my bachelor's in game design. I got the best performance along with smoothness of running games in this pc. Software are working perfectly. I think this is the best gaming pc in this price range. Slightly disappointed of display and usb ports as well.

I have a Moto Z Force phone with a USB-C connector. I purchased the SC3 adapter and I have a USB to 3.5mm adapter. I could not get this mic to work with my phone. I am not sure whether this is the phone or the mic but most likely it is the phone since this is specifically designed to work with a phone headset and I have to go through two adapters to get to USB-C. It seems to be well constructed and Rode has an excellent reputation therefore I am giving it 5 stars and letting you know that it won't likely work with a phone without a headset jack even with adapters.

I am using the FetHead with a Heil PR 77D Dynamic Mic and a MOTO M2 Audio interface. The FetHead has allowed me to back off the gain from roughly 75% to 20%, giving me a lot more headroom. Keeping my gain to approx 20%, the level is far from clipping yet perfect for the WebEx's and other audio conferences I am in all day long. The FetHead gives me the sensitivity I require with no extraneous noise. I highly recommend a FetHead where a good amount of power is needed to drive a dynamic mic such as the Heil. It's an elegant highly engineered solution that works flawlessly.

Every once in a while you are still going to need a headphone jack adapter for music or a mic.
