Motorola 3500E Pack Radio

The Motorola CLS - 1110 is a fine handheld radio. It has decent range and can be programmed so as not to interfere with other radio frequencies. More than the radio, however, I was totally sold on the customer service I got from B&H. It was as good as I could have imagined leaving no room to ask for more. Thanks-

The CLS-1110 2-way radio by Motorola is small, lightweight and easily accessible for my assisted living staff. If only there was a way to eliminate the protruding antenna (can easily get in the way), this would be the world's most perfect unit!

I have had several Moto phones throughout the years and Motorola has never disapointed.

Great addition to my radios. I can pack my radio in my backpack, clip this mic on my shoulder strap, & communicate with my partner super easy. I highly recommend this product

I'm a wedding photographer and a battery pack for the formals is a must so that you don't have to wait for the flash to recharge. I bought 2 of these and used them at my last wedding and they worked just as advertised. They recharged in a couple of seconds for every shot during the formals and I also used them at the reception to pop a little light here and there during the dance. They seem well built to me and I was able to just slide them over the light stand and then mount the flash so attaching them to the stand was a breeze. One side note about the cord...... I use radio poppers and the power cord from the battery pack had a ridge on it that bumps into the radio popper bracket and forces the bracket out of alinement with the flash. I found that all I had to do to correct the problem was trim off the ridge from the cord with a razor blade and it fit perfectly! Only took a minute to trim off.

First off please realize that CB and Ham users are a bit threatened by GMRS. Why? because for Ham users this radio makes it easy to talk to anyone with a no test license. Yes with GMRS you are to have a license even for the the blister pack radio that people get at Wal-mart. Now with a license it last 5 years and covers everyone in the home. Now Midland has broken the ice by releasing the MXT115 and the MXT400 because now it allows anyone to have a high power radio that can connect to greater distances of up 70 miles with a repeater an up to 30 miles barefoot without a repeater. With the MXT115 radio more like 12-15 miles barefoot and 15-40 miles with a repeater. However do not expect these distances with the stock antenna. The release of these 2 new powerful radios finally allows the GMRS signal to be taken seriously and truly have an option for point to point communication. so ditch the blister pack radio garbage and get a real radio. Lastly this radio will still allow communication to those blister pack radios as well.

I've been enjoing this radio, which came as part of a multi-pack with two handhelds. I want to take advantage of the 15W for my city's weekly radio check-in, so I built a carry box to easily use it in the house easily. With the antenna stuck to my skylight frame, I can talk with folks 20 miles away.

I bought this as a replacement for a broken radio. Everybody needs a radio in their emergency back-pack. Sony has good taste in design. Three AA batts. Light-weight. Fifty bucks. I am satisfied.
