Motorola Handheld Radio Instructions

The Motorola CLS - 1110 is a fine handheld radio. It has decent range and can be programmed so as not to interfere with other radio frequencies. More than the radio, however, I was totally sold on the customer service I got from B&H. It was as good as I could have imagined leaving no room to ask for more. Thanks-

The CLS-1110 2-way radio by Motorola is small, lightweight and easily accessible for my assisted living staff. If only there was a way to eliminate the protruding antenna (can easily get in the way), this would be the world's most perfect unit!

Very nice handheld system. Work great for so there's no need to have radio in every vehicle.

Great little radio! Talking to others on and off road with ease, not having to hold a handheld and worry about batteries. For the price it is an awesome kit, especially with the bigger antenna.

After much searching we chose to replace the handheld's for use between cars. This radio was chosen because the controls are on the hand held-mike so the main unit can be placed anywhere in our small cars. With just the included small antenna I could communicate with a like unit over a hill and at about 1/4 mile out-of-sight through large trees and when out-of-sight through housing. This was also on the lower channels which I understand to be of a lower output. Clarity is also very good. Menu driven setup is a bit hard to do

We use this spray at a LP-FM radio station (part of the non-profit I work at), and I bought some for the handheld mic someone is going to be using for some podcaster on the street interviews. Great for mics that will be used by lots of people (DJs, guests) or as I mentioned. You can't guarantee everyone will use or have masks, so this is a good sanitation option.

I am totally new to the GMRS radio world. I purchased also the MXT400 Mobile unit for our Jeep to go with the handheld GXT1000's They work well together and look forward to years of service from them both.

I use this with a handheld radio in a tractor/combine cab. Works great as I leave the handheld radio in a ram mount. Volume is good and I can hear it fine over the equipment.

This cable is perfect for connecting a separate mic. Its use would be for a radio reporter recording on on handheld mic. I personally use wireless mics but will use this to connect the base to the unit. Good thinking on the part of Marantz for supplying this cable.

Still testing the ranges and settings. Was able to communicate using 15watt Handheld Radio with someone else's 40 Watt car unit about 1.5 miles in town with lots of buildings in between.
