Motorola Radio Tuning

The Motorola CLS - 1110 is a fine handheld radio. It has decent range and can be programmed so as not to interfere with other radio frequencies. More than the radio, however, I was totally sold on the customer service I got from B&H. It was as good as I could have imagined leaving no room to ask for more. Thanks-

The CLS-1110 2-way radio by Motorola is small, lightweight and easily accessible for my assisted living staff. If only there was a way to eliminate the protruding antenna (can easily get in the way), this would be the world's most perfect unit!

Nice compact am fm radio with a big sound. I am a little disappointed in the am reception and discretion of tuning but will order an external antenna if you have one. FM is good reception and drift free. Sound is excellent

If you're looking for a solid, dial tuning AM/FM radio - buy this one. Excellent reception and easy tuning dial. Old school, solid performance at a great price.

I'm sure it's not for everybody because it lacks some basic features that a lot of other radios have like an on/off switch or one touch access to favorite stations. But I needed to replace a radio that could not pick up a stereo signal in the room where I was using it and it also couldn't take up much space. The Rolls has no problem reproducing a perfect stereo signal that is strong and quiet. And the unit is also extremely compact. I figured that a very basic and straight forward design built by a company in the U.S.A. that makes equipment primarily for professional use would be of excellent quality and I was right. It's an FM tuner that doesn't do anything else and it's solid and simple. I plugged into it's own small power strip so now it has an on/ off switch and since I only listen to a couple of FM stations at the lower end of the FM band and a couple at the higher end tuning back and forth only takes a few clicks of the up or down tuning buttons. It's so great to finally have a clear clean stereo signal in the room I do most of my radio listening.

Solid little radio, I plug it in the wall, get excellent reception. Easy analog tuning. Can also work with batteries.

I have been an AM radio listener for over 60 years. Back in the 1960's most American-made radios were made with pride, lasted forever and sounded great. This Sony radio is a throwback to those old machines. The sound is terrific, with little static, even in normally electronically noisy areas that challenge radios such as the Sangean models. Yes, pre-tuning buttons would be nice, but the tuning light on the front makes finding stations easy. The knobs are all tight and the overall build quality seems good. The FM reception is crisp and clear as well.

Good sound and reception for a basic analog radio. The red light helps with tuning in. I have older Sony radios and this one is an upgrade for sure.
