Motorola Radios 20 Mile

Great little radios, so far. Good range relative to similar Motorola Talkabouts. 5 |

Haven’t had time to really stretch them out. But probably about a mile or so and seem to work great. Also ordered Motorola T465. They can communicate with each other. Plan on putting them both to the test to see who wins. So far. Happy with both. 5 |

Great pair of radios an upgrade to my previous ones that only had a 3 mile range 5 |

Radio's seem to be well made. We have tried the radios around the neighborhood and they work very well. Went testing, we were 1/4 to 1/2 mile apart and the reception was good. 5 |

I use Motorola radios for communication between crewmembers when on video shoots. When our hands are otherwise occupied with cameras, lighting, and audio, this remote speaker/mic makes portable radios more efficient and useful. This product works perfectly, with good transmission and reception. 5 |

My son and I have been using these for about a month now and they are great radios. In our area we are able to communicate clearly in about a 3 mile radius due to the number of trees. They will be perfect for keeping in touch when we are hunting since cell service is limited where we hunt. The features on the radios are easy to use and they seem to be pretty durable. The one thing I wish these radios had are lithium ion batteries. I just purchased an MXT275 to mount in my truck and I'm looking forward to using it. 5 |

These are Great radios! They give about 1 mile of very strong coverage in normal use. The max range is about 6 miles due to the curvature of the earth. Only getting higher off the ground will increase range. They are very clear and can run off of AA batteries if you need longer life than the rechargeable ones that come with the radios. Very useful in photography situations where you need to converse with subjects that are too far away. There are only 22 channels, the others are just different channel and privacy code combinations. Just remember these are not private channel radios. People can hear what you are saying if they are in range. The privacy codes are to make it where you dont hear other conversations. They do not stop people from hearing you. These are the radios to buy! 5 |

I’ve had these little Walkies for a week now and they have gotten the job done. We’ve used them to communicate between cars on our drive to Joshua Tree National Park as well as within the park, the park has zero cell coverage. Additionally, I left one at a friends house about a mile away to test them in the suburbs. In both cases, we had zero issues. When you purchase a bargain product like this it is all about trades offs and the Midland Radios make the right ones to get the right price. Pros: -Perfect for camping, caravanning, and hiking with groups if you are staying relatively close -Compact durable design allows them to be stashed almost anywhere -Rechargeable batteries and base means less waste and a smaller footprint -Radios snap into charging base with a satisfying click and lights indicate you are charging -Enough channels to avoid congestion and background noise -Screen lock child proofs radio settings for communication with younger children Cons: -Like all Walkie Talkies that claim 20+ miles, these will never actually get that -Would not count on these over a mile distance -If you are using these in the outdoors like me you will need to pick up a car charger adapter to charge on the road -If you want weather alerts you’ll have to upgrade to the Midlands LXT600VP3 -Belt clips are not hinged and just a simple piece of plastic At this price range, the pros easily outweigh the cons and this product is an easy recommendation. 5 |

My Midland hand-held radios are performing well. I use them with my MXT-275 and I get approximately 2 mile range in the city. I like the weather feature. 5 |

I purchased these radios to be able to communicate while out hunting (spot and stalk). On my first outing, my brother in law and I were able to radio back and forth from vantage points a mile apart, and give reports on the elk we were glassing. The radios were crisp, clear and worked perfectly. I do not expect to use farther that 2 mile radius so it works perfect for my usage. 5 |
