Motorola Type Ii Smartzone Radio

The Motorola CLS - 1110 is a fine handheld radio. It has decent range and can be programmed so as not to interfere with other radio frequencies. More than the radio, however, I was totally sold on the customer service I got from B&H. It was as good as I could have imagined leaving no room to ask for more. Thanks-

The CLS-1110 2-way radio by Motorola is small, lightweight and easily accessible for my assisted living staff. If only there was a way to eliminate the protruding antenna (can easily get in the way), this would be the world's most perfect unit!

6 Db antenna works, I replaced a shorter stubby Motorola type with this and increased my repeater hit with about a 25 percent range increase. Heavy wooded area limits maximum radio wave range but performance is solid.

No problem, perfect item. Just a remark : in the description of the products, it is not easy to compare type I and type II. Type I allows the use of an HDMI socket and leaves room for side cables. Type II is smaller. Both types provide 7.3 volts output.

Full disclosure: I did some time in the Feds... this was the only type of radio/mp3 we were able to buy/use. The battery lasts for days, the radio gets great signal, and the sound EQ is great. These things last forever.... I've seen some inmates with the same Mp3 that they use all day long keep these things running since 2010.

After researching various available brands and previously owning Sony radio's of this type in the past, I chose to go with the Sony ICF-506 and am again happy with my purchase.

I use the 19HS and the 49WG (4 port) with my ham radio gear. I have never had any type of issue where the software did not recognize the adapter as a native serial port. I went through about a half dozen other brands giving me some sort of problem before I found this adapter. The software is also in a class of it's own. I will not buy nor recommend anything else.

This is a radio control and works reliably. The batteries are not the usual AAA-type and that's a good thing. The receiver uses the same battery as a garage door opener remote and the handheld transmitter uses a lithium battery. The components are compact and easy to carry.

I ordered this to use on a radio announcer type boom arm. always pleasantly surprised at the performance and the build quality of the shock mount. I have already ordered a few more to use on drum mics in my studio. My only complaint would be the spring clamp part for the universal mount presses against the elastic band and may lessen the effectiveness. Overall, I am very pleased

I have had several Moto phones throughout the years and Motorola has never disapointed.
