First of all is Nikon, then we got here a good lens to get close that Mountain, or animal that is far away in the Landscape. 5 |

I have been using ball heads for about 6 years. I do mostly landscape, astro, macro photography. Wow! I wish I had started using gearheads a long time ago. Ball heads, even really good ones, can still dip and mess up your composition after locking off, especially when zoomed at high magnifications. This gear head eliminates that issue. With very precise controls, you can get your composition perfectly without worry of it dipping after locking off. This is more for slow shooting so I wouldn’t use this for sports or wildlife where you need to act quickly. But for its purpose, it is great! 5 |

So far I'm really liking this lens . I've just shot some landscape and nature photos with it and some of the wife around the house. I got it for live music photography and videography mainly. I haven't had a chance to shoot that with it so far . But for landscape and nature "wow" . Love the colors and sharpness. It took a couple hours for shooting landscape with it and learning framing, composition with 65mm . Once I started getting a feel for it I was really liking it . The images off this lens are hands down beautiful. I'd read reviews that it was sterile in its rendering because it was so perfect. Not true at al . It is very perfect but has a beautiful rendering that just happens to be perfection. It for environmental portraiture at 65mm is nice . There is subject isolation but with enough surrounding to tell a story . An 85 can do that but it's like the best of both a 50 and an 85 . Very normal looking almost to a fault and this is where some folks will create that sterile type image . So be creative with your composition and work to tell that story . Peace and don't get one of these lenses. I want the originality of the guy shooting the 65 . 5 |

I’ve been using Hyperlite Mountain Gear’s Camera Pods for a few years now. They are perfect for landscape photography and I wouldn’t use anything else. They provide ample protection at an ultralight weight. Couldn’t recommend enough. 5 |

I have used this lens for landscape as well as for instructional images to show lighting set up and panorama images of the mountain vists with great results. The compact size is a plus, as well as the light weight. It fits convienently in my side pocket and goes unnoticed. 5 |

Bought this to do landscape and mountain shots. Just got back from a trip to the Smokie Mountains and what a lens. We got some beautiful shots of a lightning storm over the mountains. 5 |
