Mountainsmith Camera Backpack

These backpack straps are the perfect addition for my Mountainsmith lumbar pack. B&H offered it for a competitive price. It fits and functions perfectly. 5 |

Already liked using Mountainsmith lumbar pack but using it with the backpack straps makes it easy for me to put on and wear. Helps with distribution of weight onto the hips. As someone with history of back problems, I highly recommend the use of the strapettes! 5 |

Protects the camera body from minor bumps and bruises. I used this in conjunction with Mountainsmith LC2 lens cases in a backpack. By itself it does not offer great impact protection. 5 |

I use the BlackRapid Backpack Breathe Camera Strap with a Lowepro ProTactic Backpack. One side of the strap connects perfectly to the rings located on the front of the backpack's shoulder straps and the other side connects onto a loop on the bottom of the pack on the other side. The BlackRapid backpack strap allows me to have quick access to my camera. With the camera on the BlackRapid strap, I no longer need to bring my backpack to my side to remove and use my camera. I now use my backpack only to store and change lenses. My camera can now remain outside my backpack, located conveniently to my side at hip level. When I want to shoot, the camera slides smoothly up the camera strap to eye level. I like that the camera hangs upside-down when resting on the strap. It makes for an easy get to position when my camera is resting at my side. This strap is amazingly slick and fun to use. I have to admit that I find myself playing around with it, like I'm some sort of gunslinger, showing off how quick I can be on the draw. I appreciate the movable clips provided on the BlackRapid camera strap. The two clips are easily adjusted, allowing me to restrict the movement of the camera to stay in one place on the strap when I am planning not to shoot. All of the attachment parts seem well made and designed. I keep the bottom strap strapped to the bottom of my backpack and store the rest of the strap in a small pocket on my backpack when I am not using the strap. Then, all I have to do is remove the strap from the small backpack pocket and connect the free end to the opposite shoulder strap . . . and I'm ready to go! I wish the piece that that screws into the camera (Camera Socket Attachment) was designed so that the camera could sit flat when attached, and if the design of the socket attachment would permit a tripod or mono-pod to be screwed into it without having to unscrew it from the camera. I absolutely love the BlackRapid Backpack Breathe Camera Strap! 5 |

I was looking for a cover for my old Lowepro mini trekker back pack. On the Mountainsmith web site they gave good dimensions of the pack this cover is made for and they matched my needs. The fit is as expected. It has its own little pack pouch and stowe's nice in the pack when not needed. I have not tested the waterproof ability yet but as a user of camping equipment I have no doubt it will work well if needed. 5 |

This is a good accessory for the Mountainsmith lumbar packs if you are carrying a heavy load. It keeps the pack from sagging down. BH had the best price. 5 |

I own several Mountainsmith lumbar packs and, although they come with shoulder straps which are good for urban use, I find the strapettes essential for hiking trails and for heavier loads. They are comfortable to wear and are well made. A little difficult to figure out how to put strapettes on a pack unless you watch the video several times and then it's no problem. A must have for comfortable use of Mountainsmith lumbar packs. 5 |

I added these strapettes to my Mountainsmith Tour Lumbar Pack. What a difference. Helps distribute the load alot. Carrying extra water bottles weighs pack down after a bit but not with shoulder strap attached. Well worth the price. Simple attach and detach connections. Great investment. 5 |

Love this bag. Plenty of pockets. No padding except for bottom and halfway up the sides. I used to use a Mountainsmith Tour Pack years ago that I had modified with velcro loops inside and had very thin flexible custom made dividers. The guy behind this company really is on point (for the real photographer) in a sea of overly padded bags. 5 |
