Mounting Samsung Frame Tv Over Fireplace Brick

We purchased this TV mount to enable the TV to extend beyond the end of a fireplace. The TV is recessed in a pocket between the fireplace and a window. This mount allows us to telescope and turn the TV so all can see beyond the fireplace. I consider the unit exceptionally well-constructed and designed. The mounting kit contains a variety of fasteners to anchor the unit to the wall. In our case, we needed our own lag screws to secure the frame to the stud pattern on the wall. The unit is is rather ornery and cumbersome to install. Plan on two people to install. The mounting template works well. But it is important to measure the mounting slots in the unit's frame to ensure the one's chosen align with the wall stud's locations. I recommend using a level and drawing a centerline for the fasteners to follow. Pre-drill holes into the wall studs. I strongly recommend not mounting through the drywall with plastic expansion anchors. There will be a lot of bearing on a material that is not designed for long-term structural integrity. We use all of the mount's 40" extension. It certainly meets our needs.

Easy to install and looks very well built. I used it to hang 65 inch samsung tv over my fireplace.

I got this to mount my 55 TV above our fireplace. This mount is very sturdy and heavy duty and not light. It came with all of the mounting hardware which was a plus. The only modification I had to do was build some brackets to extend it out to the edge of the fireplace mantel. Otherwise the TV would have set to high for our room. Our issue, not the mount.

We purchased this TV for mounting over our fireplace in our new home and it is perfectly sized and high quality. We've truly ramped up movie nights and overall TV experience enjoyment at our house!

I purchased my Frame TV about a year ago, and it has exceeded my expectations. I have it mounted above the mantle on my fireplace, making it easy to showcase artwork or watch my favorite sports teams with just a quick click of the remote. I've even uploaded family pictures from my phone to display on the Frame TV. Without hesitation, I would recommend it to anyone who wants a television that also looks like a piece of art or a display of family photos above their fireplace.

I added a white frame to my Frame TV and attached it to the wall with the low-profile Frame mounting bracket. It looks fantastic on the wall. Very modern.

Using it to mount my tv over a stone fireplace.

Very happy with the quality of this product. Very strong and operates smoothly. I installed it to a brick fireplace. The instructions say use the provided paper template to mark the locations of the holes to be drilled in the brick. I found that the vertical spacing between the top set of holes and the bottom set of holes needs to be VERY precise. I found that it's easy for the drill bit to "wander" a little bit when drilling on the marks into the rough brick face the fireplace has. Drifting a bit side to side was not a problem. Drifting a bit up or down was a problem lining up with the bracket. I ended up drilling two top holes and then temporarily mounting the bracket to those holes, then used the bracket itself to locate the remaining holes on the top and bottom. I used a smaller drill bit to create starter holes, then removed the bracket and finished drilling the holes with the correct size drill bit. A little extra work but the holes lined up perfectly with the bracket and it's rock solid.
