We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly.

The Phottix Varos Pro M Multi-Function Flash Shoe Umbrella Holder is massive overkill and I should add I like it that way. The construction is all aluminum other than molded plastic handles on knobs. Phottix even includes small carabineer so the mount and associated light stand can be tied down. In my application supporting Speedlites and relatively small umbrellas this unit will easily outlast me.
