I have been using Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 for many years..sadly it failed. I viewed many potential replacements....one serious contender didn’t have a separate headphone volume control....unacceptable! I’ve been aware of Focusrite’s reputation and their Gen. 3 is garnering rave reviews. I was blown away. Immediately I noticed a bump in headroom. The overall sound was more defined across all frequency ranges. Setting up this item was a breeze in my DAW. N moments I was ready to work. I have only begun to use this but I am so pleased. I am also hugely pleased with B &H. Twice, in one month, they came thru. Prices beat out known music equipment vendor prices......shipping is ‘FAST’ . B & H doesn’t mess around. This microphone was purchased for church applications: recording and amplification of instruments and occasional voice applications. It is well-constructed and solid. I like the feel and robustness. I would not use this for pipe organ or grand piano music, but it is absolutely great for acoustic guitar and other instruments without significant low bass. Highly recommended.I like not having to fear an occasional drop or bump, something that is likely to happen in church use. 5 |
