Music Video Camera

I've used this for everything with my camera, recording long hours of music video shoots, live shoots, photography, you name it! It does not break under pressure, always reads in my computer, and the transfer rates, if you're in a hurry, this thing can dump it's entire storage onto a decent computer in less than 4 minutes! If you need a card, look no further. I plan to own about 10 of these for my purposes, but I wouldn't mind owning even more!

Whether used as a practical light effect in a music video or an on-camera light at an event, this little light from Aputure can preform a lot of different jobs. While I do wish it was a bit brighter, it makes up for that in sheer versatility.

Picked up the beauty for a song to help record live performances of music. The field-of-view is very wide (about 170°), so it may not work for all situations. There is a menu item that will narrow the FOV, but it does not increase the resolution or completely negate the fish-eye effect. That's not an issue for me. You also need good lighting. On the plus side, I LOVE all of the attachments and mounting options that come with the camera, including a bicycle mount that lets me attach it to the XLR of my boom mic, allowing me to take video from overhead as I assemble circuit boards. The camera also allows you to record time-lapse video at one frame per every one, two, or five seconds

As soon as I got this amazing, tiny, video camera, I put it to use doing music videos. Indoors, and outdoors, this is one fantastic piece of equipment I wish was around years ago! It's range from wide angle to telephoto, and EXCEPTIONAL sound reproduction (due to the XY mics), is by far more amazing than you would ever have thought from such a small camera. You will be astonished, as I was, at the quality of this camera. Did I mention, you won't find a video camera this good for twice the price?

I've used it twice now indoors to record classical music - with the Zoom close to the stage and the video camera farther back on a balcony. I'm quite happy with the results. Thanks.

I used this so far on top of my camera for a music video shoot and paired with a super wide lens (10mm), it gives a fantastic clubby look. Check out Habits (Stay High) by Tove Lo on VEVO and you'll see the look that this gives you. $Very high quality stuff on a tight budget. The light is adjustable both in color temperature and intensity which is immensely great. The batteries last long and since it comes with two, you can always be charging one and using the other. So far, the only downside of it is the connection to the camera is kind of loose. I was constantly tightening it.

I've been using a video camera to have friends shoot my music videos for years. Finally I decided to buy the Vello handle and guess what? It makes shooting videos much easier because the handle gives the camera person more control over what they are shooting which makes for more creative freedom. Like a steering wheel on a car helps with its agility.....the Vello allows you to shoot from any angle giving stability to the footage and shots that would be impossible without it.
