Must say I bought it because it was on sale. I bought it for use on a lighter, mirrorless, kit. It is very solid and strong though. I've had my Nikon D750 on it and it held it tight and strong at different angles. I just hope it lasts. The thing I've had problems in the past with are the quick disconnect plate mechanisms so time will tell if this one holds up. It seems to be well engineered. I have it on a Benro alum. tripod that is capable of same support weight, 13.2 lbs. It's overall pack weight is pretty light at about 3.5 lb's on this tripod/ballhead combo. Got the tripod on sale too so, combined tripod and ballhead was a great deal from B&H. 5 |
