Mxl 2001 Vs Blue Spark Microphone

I had read somewhere that this shock mount was a good fit with the Blue Spark microphone, so I ordered it and couldn't be happier. It fits like a gloveI I have paired it with a Rode PSA 1 studio boom arm and the entire apparatus looks great, and more importantly, works perfectly. A great value as it is significantly cheaper than Blue's shock mount for the Spark. See the attached image below.

I bought my Rycote Shock Mount USM to support my Blue Spark Digital Studio Condenser USB/Lightning Microphone for PC/Mac/iPad. It's adjustable universal locking system securely holds my microphone so I can permanently leave it stand mounted. The Hytrel thermoplastic it is made from allows me to adjust and lock to any vertical, horizontal or angled position without fear of slippage from the weight of the microphone.

This was my second MXL portable microphone I purchased in the last year. The microphones portable and very effective.

Great product! Bought it as a replacement shock mount for my Blue Spark condenser mic. Everything fits well and it's a nice sturdy build. I would highly recommend this shock mount.

This was a good solution to using the Rode SVM for voice overs recording through the Audient iD14. Now I have a Blue Spark. The photo was before I bought the cable when I had solo channel audio from a stereo mic, due to using a XLR adapter. After the adapter, the sound was louder and better. But, not as good as the Blue Spark :) of course.

This magnificent device seemingly conquers the Newtonian attraction of microphone. Vs. floor. An elegant design which far surpasses other options such as duck tape, coat hangers, or very small presenters.

This microphone has gotten me through so much learning. When I first started recording I was using an Avid Recording Studio mixer with only a single XLR input. So one microphone. (Until I figured out how to run another mic through the guitar jack.) I got the MXL 990 and I feel like I can keep recording with it for a long time. For starters, it's pretty durable. I haven't spiked it against the ground but it's taken some falls and still ticks. As for quality? There's definitely better mics out there. Better tone, pickup, all sorts of things. But I'd be lying if I didn't say this is a great mic to take around the block. While I'm not completely green, I'm at least blue-green. So anything fancier would be completely wasted on me. And all I really want is for the voice to be clear and warm. I'm recording a podcast with myself and a single guest. No instruments. Nothing fancy. And honestly: this mic does everything I want without fighting me too hard. I would definitely point it right and try to insulate yourself a bit. But the difference between this and my Shure SM58 is huge. I've since switched to a Zoom H6 for my mixer (whew). Now I can get more people in on my records if I need to. But when I had the chance to get different mics I went in for 3 more MXL 990s. That's how reliable they are. I may graduate from them someday, but for what I need to do and where I'm at, they're perfect.

This stand provides support for my MXL BCD-1 Microphone, and it does it in style. The base provides solid support, without taking too much space, the keeper holds the mic cord in place, and the height is easy to adjust. It does exactly what a mic stand should do, and the price is right!

I bought this microphone after my mxl 3000 stopped working and received it the next day! Great quality for the price.
