My a7 iii kept up great with image stabilization for some handheld shots, and a lightroom preset can bring back some contrast and vignetting. Manual focus takes some practice of course, but the size and weight proposition for hikes makes this an easy choice for me. Perhaps slightly soft and dark compared to refractive options, but plenty for more casual nature spotting. 5 |

Great binoculars. For 12x I can hold these reasonably stable without the image stabilization, but the IS is very welcome feature. My only real complaint is other manufacturers, like Kite, have easier/smarter ways to turn on the IS system. Having to press and hold the button on the Canon binoculars is slightly awkward. Still, these have great optics and are fairly light for the magnification level and IS system. I’d gladly purchase them again. 5 |

This camera allows me to use my vintage cameras with image stabilization. I am also impressed with the performance of my E series lens.. The feature set is far superior to the make of camera I have been using since 1986. 5 |

Before you spend more you might want to try out this lens. I spent more...WAY more...for Zeiss glass and L series lenses and my Olympus Pro series 12-40mm lens. While they're all good...so is this lens. Don't let the low price fool you. This lens is well made and I'm completely satisfied with the pictures it provides. Yes, it's a manual focus only lens...but I like that. I use it with my Olympus OM-D E-M1 mirrorless camera. That camera has in-body image stabilization and the ability to zoom in to make it easy to get perfect focus every time. The image stabilization makes me forget I'm 73 years old and sometimes a bit shaky. To top it all off this silver lens looks great on my silver bodied E-M1 (shown with lens, a cheap generic lens hood, and an RRS L plate). 5 |
