My Apple Headphones Mic Not Working

My purchase of these headphones was greatly influenced by Consumer Reports * rating (86/100) of the Grado Prestige SR80i headphones now discontinued by the manufacturer. These SR80e are the best sounding headphones I have ever owned! They offer exceptional value for the price ($99)! I use them primarily to listen to my music library on iTunes or to my music cds. I presently own an apple iPhone 5s smartphone. I have an apple macbook pro; a yamaha cdc-697 natural sound compact disc player; an apple tv; a yamaha RX-V567 natural sound av receiver; a samsung P51F8500 smart tv and Definitive Technology Pro Cinema home theatre speaker system all connected in one room. In another room there is an apple iMac connected to a Logitech Z623 speaker system. My music library is mainly jazz and classical with some r&b and pop. The Grado Prestige SR 80e headphones handled all with consummate ease. I can't imagine what I might not be hearing but the only headphones rated higher by CR (91/100) are the Grado Prestige SR 325e at $$. Not yet thank you.

This mic makes a huge difference in audio quality over the built-in mic in my laptop or headphones. When you're working from home, it relaly helps to have a quality mic which makes your voice more understandable. It's very reasonably priced for what it does, and is true plug and play - no drivers are software needed.

My OpenMove headphones are an integral part of my inventory of tools. They allow me to keep working while I answer calls that relieves me of returning calls later in the day. Really a time saver.

Second pair of headphones. These are great sounding headphones and they look well built. My previous headphones, although still working and in use, cracked on the ...I guess, head band, with normal use.

My company issued headphones are uncomfortable and will periodically stop working so I switched to Shokz. I already owned a pair for running so it was a no-brainer.

My first encounter with AKG 240 headphones was working in magnetic tape manufacturing years ago. I used them for switch listening from master to copy. They helped tune the magnetic formula in developing good tone quality with little use of bias adjustments. They were just a good, basic headphone. I still love 'em. They make music sing.

My pc's original sound blaster soundcard had some issues like there was a major delay when speaking into a mic and wearing headphones which can make it very hard to speak. I stuck the Play 3 in my usb slot stuck the wires in it and it was working. I definitely recommend downloading the software for it that allows you to tweak the sound. My headphones have deep powerful bass for the first time thanks to this! (use quality mic & extension cables like RODE SC1/SC2/VC1)

I greatly looked forward to receiving and trying this new mic out as an accessory to my NTH-100 headphones. My main purpose was to use it for livestreams on YouTube and podcasts if possible. I can say the audio sound is super highly impressive for such a small mic! Also, on video it really looks good and professional in appearance. Certainly many people will use these for gaming and other forms of livestream. But if you have a set of the first generation NTH-100s from RODE, GET THE NEW MIC!! It's low-cost for an excellent mic at $65 that will increase the use and versatility of your NTH-100 headphones! GREAT product!

My wife uses this clamp for anything from her tambo to headphones to water bottle - she loves it! Fits all mic stands and super easy to use.

One of the best wireless headphones. I've got the apple EarPods and these are way better.
