I am using this case to store my WD 2TB My Passport External Hard Drive. The cover is semi rigid which provides some protection against accidentally banging the hard drive, although I would not want to drop the hard drive. It also provides a separate area for storing the USB cable which comes with the hard dive. Very convenient. 5 |

As a working photographer, I keep all my photos on two external hard drives. One my working drive and the other as a back up kept at home. I need a rugged external hard drive because I work on files in two locations and LaCie is the best! 5 |

About a year ago, my G-Technology external hard drive stopped working as my time machine backup for my MacBook Pro. I tried all kinds of stuff. Searched the Internet endlessly and boy, there are a lot of people with the same issue. I was debating whether to buy a new drive, but thought I'd try a new cable first. It's expensive, but if it works, it's worth it, and if it doesn't, I'll return it. I'm so glad I gave it a try.
