The new laptop came with 15GB and after loading Windows 11 I had used 33% with no programs running. I purchased this kit to get to 32GB and after running a couple of benchmarks was also rewarded with slightly faster transfers than the Samsung the laptop came with. I already had the VLC media player ap installed on my windows 10 laptop, so when I plugged this into my USB port straight from the box, it was recognized and functioned immediately. If your computer doesn't have a driver, Transcend provides one free, but you must download one in order to use external drives--perhaps that's why some users claim their player wouldn't work? 5 |
