Native Instruments Session Bassist Upright Bass

I am a bassist that plays a fretless electric upright bass and sings background vocals in several bands. Because I have to look at my fingerboard regularly to check my intonation, it's hard to use a traditional stand-mounted mic. I got a Shure SM-35 headworn condenser mic (phantom power required), but needed a way to turn the mic off when I was not singing. After looking at several switches, I bought this one and used it at a gig last night. It worked exactly as advertised - no noise, no popping, no problems. The only issue I had was a difficulty plugging in the mic itself - the input on the Power Mute was very tight and it took a rather strong attempt to get the XLR connector in to make a good connection and locked. It could just need a break-in period, but that was the only problem I had with it.

I have been using Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 for many years..sadly it failed. I viewed many potential replacements....one serious contender didn’t have a separate headphone volume control....unacceptable! I’ve been aware of Focusrite’s reputation and their Gen. 3 is garnering rave reviews. I was blown away. Immediately I noticed a bump in headroom. The overall sound was more defined across all frequency ranges. Setting up this item was a breeze in my DAW. N moments I was ready to work. I have only begun to use this but I am so pleased. I am also hugely pleased with B &H. Twice, in one month, they came thru. Prices beat out known music equipment vendor prices......shipping is ‘FAST’ . B & H doesn’t mess around. I have been a big fan of the native instruments keyboard since they came out, and this one is no exception. It is very simple to use, but the way that the new screen is displayed and the sound or organized and not only being able to mod the parameter so easily is a big plus. the screen is beautiful. The key bed is nice. I wish I could’ve got an upgrade from my MK two but beggars can’t be choosers. I would purchase again of put in the same situation.

I use this product for my DJ rig to connect my Native Instruments Komplete 6 audio interface to my DBX Go portable rack interface.

Great waterproof material, protects my native instruments s4, holds more equipment and organizes cables. Great backpack and highly recommended!

I use this with a Native Instruments Maschine and love the quality of sound these headphones produce. I am able to wear it for extended periods of time without it bothering my ears, and the range is very good with both the high end and the low end of sounds. Thus far, I have no complaints at all.

Works fine with the Audix ADX20i mic on my upright bass

If you close your eyes you can hear where the different instruments are. Very detailed sound. Bass is great. Not too much, not too little. If you are a bass junkie, get a subwoofer. I just wish it had dust covers and that the USB could input sound.

I am using the INV-6 on my upright bass (the mic is an old Sony ECM-23F back-electret mic and the INV-6 is monted to an ExplorAudio H-Clamp SPIRIT Mic mount. The INV-6 does its job of shock absorption VERY well and at the same time doesn't stick out as far as the spider type shock mounts.
