Natural Rock Formation Wind Instrument

I use this as the instrument cable for my bass guitar and it really lets the natural tone of my bass shine through. The signal comes out very clear and without any buzz or hum of any kind. The cable itself is very sturdy as well. Only possible gripe on my part about this is that the metal connector on the gold plug tends to twist loose by itself once in a while but it's no big deal. The cable itself is amazing. And the lifetime warranty is a sweet deal as well! 5 |

I must admit, the first time I unboxed the instrument, I was amazed at the build quality. It has some heft, the keys are properly and ergonomically placed and you know Akai really took their time to perfect this wind controller. But as a long time saxophone player, the first time I actually played some scales, I was quite disappointed - it didn't feel like a saxophone. I was beginning to regret my purchase and thought about exchanging it for the WX5. So I gave it a few more days. Days turned to weeks, and I am beginning to appreciate this instrument. Keep practicing those scales, breathing with the mouthpiece and you realize how this is such an amazing wind controller. I made a mistake thinking that this is a replacement for a saxophone in an apartment situation. In reality, you should think about how this instrument can be an extension to your musical endeavors. The possibilities you can do with the sounds and playability are endless. There are a few usable synths prebuilt, but I suggest using the Akai EWI 5000 Editor to really play and edit your sounds then save it to the user bank. Also there are synths out there that can be used if you plug the EWI as just a midi wind controller; unfortunately you can't upload other synth sounds into the controller. Definitely give it some time to get used to the instrument especially moving from one octave to another. Keep practicing and you'll appreciate that there's hardly any moving parts here. I was opposed at it first since horns have that tactile and key feedback. But with the touch sensitivity, it really felt I was playing an instrument from the future. Again, you just have to get used to it - think about when mobile phones shift from physical keyboards to the modern phones we have today. And here I am today still keeping my purchase and writing a review. I thank Akai for making a top-notch wind controller and continuing the support for the modern electronic wind musician. 5 |

This subwoofer sounds incredible and makes it a perfect companion for the formation duo. 5 |

Use it to photograph insects, flowers, and small natural objects like shells, rock samples, etc. I use a ring flash on the camera and two small battery operated lights on the sides to create a nice portable mini studio that I can transport to different venues. 5 |

I was very skeptical about this mic. Like I am about anything until I try it. Performed rock solid and sounds natural and real to me. Don't hesitate on this one. 5 |

I Have been editing with a rock , compared to using this tablet! Much more natural using the pen. There is totally s learning curve and I tried using it exclusively for two weeks . Really love the touch capabilities. Very similar to my trackpad. 5 |

I have used this scope extensively and find being able to shoot in wind at all distances to be easy. Shoot at a rock for wind, move the scope and done. 5 |

I bought this tripod in 2015. It's the only tripod I own because it's the only tripod I've ever needed. I have taken this thing into the city, the woods, the desert, the Grand Canyon, up 4000ft mountains, on cobblestone, sand, mud, snow, water, ice, stone, frozen rivers, slotted between tree roots and god knows what else. I have thrown this thing across rivers, up and down rock ledges, scaled cliff sides and slipped down icy rock walls with it strapped to my hip, and it barely has a scratch on it. I expected it to be able to take a beating and it has not disappointed. Sometimes in precarious positions it's been the only thing I could hold onto to keep me from falling. The head is satisfying to use, the handles give you a better grip and tighten much more securely than my ball head. I have used the arm to take 90° shots over ledges of all heights and everything held securely. The collapsible plate and handles don't actually save too much space when folded, but I didn't expect them to. It's a chonker, doesn't fit in a tripod bag. My only real complaint with the head is its weight, which is less ideal for hiking when every ounce counts (but once the wind picks up I'm very happy I brought it). TLDR this is a solid combo. Weighty enough to stay upright against wind and running water, light enough to carry comfortably on an adventure. I expect these two to be lifetime companions. 5 |
