Neewer Upgraded Large Sturdier Microphone Stand

2024-08-09 09:24:33

I upgraded to this arm from a Neewer Suspension Arm, and this thing is so much better. For one, I very much appreciate that it comes with Velcro ties to keep my microphone's cord in place. I also like how the PSA1 is solid enough to hold up my RODE NT-USB and PSM1 shock mount (which are both fairly heavy). Turning and maneuvering the PSA1 is very smooth and fluid, although it sometimes squeaks when you move the arm upwards, but that can be easily remedied with a bit of WD-40 or some other kind of metal lubricant.

I needed a microphone stand that was sturdier than normal for a rather heavy, and expensive, microphone - and WOW did this do the job. Absolutely solid, well built, and able to handle that expensive equipment without any hesitation, the SB96 looks and performs like something right out of Sinatra recording session at Capitol Records. The casters lock so it stays put but the ability to roll the unit before and after the session is fabulous for protecting the microphone. The long boom arm allows for plenty of clearance for my guitar without blocking my view. Unpacking it from the box I could immediately tell it was in the top tier league. It took less than 5 minutes to assemble - no instructions needed, and went right to work. This is what pro-level quality IS.

I upgraded because my old Rode Mic finally had enough, after lasting almost 8 years. Upgraded to this one, better construction, and though a little bigger, has a much sturdier shock absorbtion structure. Good standard on camera mic for on the go videography.

I upgraded from a basic Neewer light to this and the differences are huge. The high-speed sync is fantastic. The umbrellas are basic but still good quality. There is one gripe: the AD-E2 Brackets need to be revised as one of the knobs is too long and keeps the other from being turned when in a certain position. But it's a minor inconvenience. Overall highly recommended.

The Auray laptop stand is much sturdier then I expected and works well.

I've used this mini-boom extension on the end of a large wheeled overhead boom stand that was lacking in fine adjustments at the microphone end. I needed to be able to adjust the aimpoint of the microphone especially in elevation. This extension does the trick and can handle the load of dual medium diaphragm condensers.

I don't know nothin' 'bout lights; this is a great microphone stand. Gets the mics up high where you need them for recording large groups. It is plenty sturdy enough for even a couple of large stereo mics. It folds down to a small, light package.

I bought this stand to hold a large-diaphragm Bluebird Microphone for in home studio use. This is very sturdy with adjustable height and easy to put together and take apart if you need to travel with it. I don't have to worry about it tipping over. This was one of the heaviest I found for a great price. I highly recommend this product and would buy it again.

I recently purchased the Neewer version off of Amazon and immediately returned it. It was unnecessarily large (I am 5'2) for my purposes which is for self-tape auditions. This felt sturdier, less cumbersome and more purposeful.

This is my first C-Stand, and I must say, I AM IMPRESSED. It has a much sturdier stand than my regular light stands and this one is very tall. Once opened I noticed the legs do not have the wide footprint that my other stands have. I WILL PURCHASE MORE OF THESE STANDS....WOW!!!
