Nektar Midi Controller 88

The Hammer 88 is a no frills MIDI controller with a nice weighted action. Construction seems solid. A pretty good buy for the price. 5 |

I'm using two of these, one for a full-size 88 key MIDI controller with a smaller pad controller, the other for a full-size 2-manual electric organ. Both fit perfectly. the covers have considerable stretch - the former is 51 x 14 x 7 inches, the latter 41 x 15 x 9 inches. Excellent product. 5 |

I have a fully weighted, 88 key MIDI controller and it does not move. I’m serious, it’s solid. Also, as the title suggests, it came ready to go. I opened the box, took it out, and set it up in 10 seconds. 5 |

I am just getting into MIDI. I'd heard great things about the Nektar MIDI controllers and I was particularly interested because they come with specific setup protocols for individual DAWS. I'm a reaper user and the Impact L25+ mated perfectly with it. Great value and a lot of capabilities for 99 bucks. 5 |

I was looking for a synth action controller to replace my old Korg Wavestation, which is, in my opinion, the best synth action ever. Is not for everyone, though, since is so light, you can fly on lead passages, but is not very comfortable for pianos or organs. But the problem is that, since is a fully fledged synth, is big and heavy. Not really practical to move it around gigs. Anyway, to my amazement, the Nektar action is so light and smooth, not at all plasticky or spongy as many other controllers I've tried, that I can now put my trusty to Wavestation rest. As a plus, is very light and small overall, as much as I can fit both my main controller (M-Audio Code 61) and the Nektar on the same SKB hard case, how convenient is that? Build quality is top notch. Can't talk about long term, since I've only used it for a few weeks, but looks and feels very well built, it doesn't squeak when squeezed, buttons and dials are great and responsive, configuring it is a breeze, and it does have a multi function plug for either a sustain or expression pedal. That is very nice to me, since I'll be adding another expression pedal to control my left hand, while I use the other for the left. In a nutshell, I believe the Nektar GX49 is without doubt the best sub 100$ 49 key controller in the market. 5 |

Easy to assemble, and feels sturdy for 88-key controller. 5 |

This is fairly simple to use and feels really sturdy. I used it to hold a 49-key midi keyboard over my 88 key. It works really well for that purpose, and I don't find that it inhibits my view of the bottom keyboard all that much. Plus, the angle is adjustable, so you can get it where you want it. This is way cheaper than buying an additional tiered stand, and I highly recommend it. 5 |
