Neumann Microphone Vs Rode
America's Sweetheart | 2024-06-14 01:17:29 |
This magnificent device seemingly conquers the Newtonian attraction of microphone. Vs. floor. An elegant design which far surpasses other options such as duck tape, coat hangers, or very small presenters. 5 |

used on a Rode microphone-very little signal loss. 5 |

If you're looking for Best Bang for the Buck Check out Rode microphones. If you're looking for Cost no object Check out the Schoeps. If you want lush sound, a reliable mic, with a name you've grown to love: Neumann. This is the Hollywood sound (when Hollywood sounds good!)If the price is too high, check out the used market, you might save a grand. Anything else, hey if it's a great deal on a used or demoed mic then sure there are other brands I'd be excited about. DPA is one. Audio Technica & AKG will work. I'm curious about Beyer. Sanken I hear is amazing. However, as I said in the beginning: Rode/budget, Neumann/heck yeah! & Schoeps/I'm in Heaven. 5 |

I use it with vocals an acoustic guitars, usually with a Neumann TLM49 or Rode NTK.I love the warmth of the tubes in the preamp. The eq is outstanding. The compressor section is very nice, but a little tricky because the attack and release times are a little bit slow and tends to sound too transparent. I compress a lot the vocals and bass and I really like the sound of the optical compressors. If you are good sound engineer an musician, Youll love it. 5 |

I have used this combination boom and stand in the studio for more years than I can remember. It's like a Neumann microphone...it's not a studio without one. Tuff, smooth and easy to use. Nothing bad to say about it. 5 |

This microphone really captures the lows in my voice and sounds as professional as a Neumann 87..... Also, at a fraction of the price compared to the Neumann 87!! Great price for a quality condenser microphone!!! I use this microphone for the voice over industry. 5 |

This microphone is an absolute gem. The TLM 102 is the Neumann entry level microphone. It is a large diaphragm, side address mic, very small compared to its relatives. It is solidly built, but light enough to easily mount for a podcast mic, and never seems to get in the way of copy. It is my favorite mic for voiceover, as it gives a nice smooth tonality. I love the way it sounds without compression or sweetening. After micing guitar and violin, I can say it does a fine job with stringed instruments as well. For a Neumann, it is quite inexpensive; however, for a home studio, it is pricey. Is it worth the extra money? Although it was for me, there are other mic's with nearly as good performance in the $300 range. For voice work, I really like the Audio Technica AT-4033a, although it is larger and heavier. The Shure SM7b is great if you're looking for a smooth broadcast sound. I have also used and enjoyed the Sennheiser MD421, especially when I wanted a slightly brighter sound from a dynamic mic. These less expensive alternatives are worth considering if you want high quality sound, but don't want to spend several hundred dollars more. Having said that, I love this little Neumann, and don't regret for an instant having bought it. 5 |

The NEUMANN U 87Ai is a studio microphone with outstanding performance and an attractive shape. NEUMANN microphones are the best. This company has almost 90 (ninety) years of experience in the manufacture of microphones. Truly amazing. 5 |

I absolutely love this microphone. If I didn't own a Neumann TLM 102, which is my recording mic of choice, this Rode NT1 would be my mic of choice for everyday recording. Hands down the most comparable mic in my collection to the Neumann. Crystal clear and warm yet bright and responsive in the higher frequencies. When paired with my babyface face pro this mic really shines. No way I ever part ways with my number 1 back up mic. Oh, did I mention it costs less than half my Neumann. I love this mic. There is a reason it is consistently ranked in the top 10-12 microphones for voice recording. Proud owner. 5 |
