I needed something to automate my exposures for the 2024 April 8th total solar eclipse. I was having trouble finding an intervalometer that worked with my 10 year old Sony DSLR. Luckily, B&H had this wireless intervalometer that works perfectly with my camera. It doesn’t take long to figure out how to properly program for exposure timing. I used this to protect my Nikon D810 camera during the 2024 total solar eclipse. Because it's not rated for viewing with my eyes, I used the external display on the back of the camera to frame/focus. I did have a focusing problem (due to my inexperience) that I later resolved. It doesn't color the image of the sun so it doesn't appear yellow/amber as other filters will do - but the result was fantastic. (I also put a cap over the front of the lens when I wasn't exposing for an image as a level of protection.) 5 |
