I bought the 881 for a research trip to New Zealand. After 5 weeks of using it I had tried most of it's features and found the camera to be amazing. For my run-and-gun style it was light weight and versatile, though I found the night time imagery very grainy and generally unusable without adequate lighting. It did, however, catch the images in almost total darkness outdoors - good for documentation but not so good for final video shows. The camera is difficult to hold still, compared to my Panasonic HVX 200, that weighed in at around 7 lbs with lens extension, because it is so light. It requires good technique and/or a tripod to get professional video out of it. I find I use my post-shoot stabilization filter in FCP7 a lot. The biggest issue was with my previous camera was the lack of an eye-piece for capturing fast moving subjects. I just couldn't see enough with just the screen, especially in strong daylight. My new camera, the HC-WXF991 has the essential view finder and I have had much less of a problem following and framing my subjects now. I also have an issue with the manual zoom location - can't reach it with my big hands, but the on-screen zoom is awesome. On all other scores, it is a remarkable camera. The video is beautifully sharp and the response to various lighting and atmospheric conditions is very good - capturing good color and exposure in most instances. I got my 35 hours of research video in New Zealand and am looking forward to using my new 991 in the near future for more of the same. 5 |

I live in New Zealand and purchased this model after internet research and speaking to various companies direct including Edward at Telmax. I am an engineer and was most impressed with the build quality of the sub frame - it is solid, rigid and quite substantial. The ZAPrompt software is deceptively simple and offers a comprehensive range of controls over mirroring, fonts and colors, scroll speeds and margin adjustments on the fly- excellent performance. This model is astonishing value for money and the Telmax company are an absolute pleasure to deal with. My endless questions were always answered immediately and courteously- they fully value and understand customer service. If you are in the market for a budget teleprompter, this model is hard to beat. 5 |

New to photography, but wanted a good all around lens. After countless hours of research, I decided this was it. Sigma seems to have a good name in the photography industry. 5 |

I have been on the market for a bag that's capable of store all my lighting gear in and this one seems to have a lot going for it based on my research, so far based on the quality of the product, I'm hoping it lasts me a couple of years :) 5 |

I did a lot of research into audio interfaces in this price range - it's quite a burgeoning market, and, in terms of sound, they all seem to be on relative par. But functionality and build quality seem to vary, and this won out on both - especially function, and especially the meters. They're beautiful and give you so much more information than on any others. The addition of two more channels and the Midi on this model was worth the extra money. The only thing I've not loved is the line inputs (on the back) - they seem pretty quiet, and I can't get enough gain from them for a keyboard. I don't know if this is the case for other brands (e.g., the FocusRite). If, for example, you have more than one stereo keyboard you want to use at a time, you might look into this. 5 |

In my opinion, this is the best surge protector you can get in the market for this price! I did a lot of research before I decided to buy this product and I am happy with my decision! The material that is used seems to be high quality and it is rated with unlimited joule. That was something I could not find about this product, but it is written on the packaging. 5 |

The Vpc1 is the best midi controller on the market. As per my research from other reviews on various piano sites, the included foot pedal really is garbage. Out of the box, it has a flutter which is visible in my daw and is audible. Shame on Kawai for not changing this pedal for all the years they have been selling the Vpc1. Many reviewers went through the process of returning the foot pedal and getting a new one only to find after a couple of weeks the noise and flutter was back. Mine is already on the closet shelf and my Roland rp 3 pedal arrives tomorrow along with a purchase of a Midi Expression iO to compliment the new pedal with the Vpc1. So if you buy the Vpc1, just know you may need to spend another $300 for the perfect setup. 5 |
