Upgraded our old 24 iMac to a new 27 machine. New on does not have a built in CD/DVD drive. Although not much use for one these days, I prefer to still have one. Drive works great and allows adds a little more flexibility to the system. 5 |

I purchased some software from a company that still ships software on a CD. Since my laptop doesn't have a CD drive, I don't think any laptops do nowadays, I needed a drive to be able to install the software. This one worked really well. It's slim and nice looking. The price was right. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up the external LG CD/DVD drive because my new laptop doesn't have a drive. I have decent music CD collection and the LG device has allowed me to listen to and copy, my music onto my laptop. It's fast and plays everything well. It's also streamlined and easy to keep on my desk without taking up too much space or getting in the way. 5 |

I upgraded my 27 inch iMac with a Fusion drive so out came the CD. I got the super drive to replace it. Something to keep in mind.. it has to be directly plugged into a USB from the computer. A powered hub doesn't do it. Once you do that, I works wonderfully with cd's, dvd's, and recordable CD's/DVD's. Actually, it works better than the cd that came with my iMac. 5 |
