New Samsung Laptop Release Date 2023

New life for an old workhorse laptop.

Bought in December 2023, mine had a manufacturing date of 2023 09 06 and shipped with latest firmware as of time of purchase (5B2QGXA7). After a month of use and about 1 TB written, drive still shows 100% life remaining and no errors. Also runs cool: 29C - 34C for what I use it for in my Zbook Studio 16.

The B&H website product photo shows 10-2023, but the package I brought shows an up-to-date Best Before 09-2028. I don't know how long it will last, as I use it in a remote control, but so far I don't have any problem with it.

The cartridge I received from B&H (May 2023) for a Canon 4100 printer, says "Install before 04-2022". The ink has performed well on a practical level irrespective of perhaps being technically out of date thus possibly affecting performance on a technical level. We needed the in, so we didn't quibble about the "install by date", but B&H may want to be sure that their stock is fresh. Shipping, ease of ordering, etc. was typical "excellent' from B&H. Order more ink from B&H? You bet! Not even a question for our shop.

I bought this in May 2023 and used it once so far in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It allows my wife to follow my progress on remote hikes. Although my one use took place during a group hike, we decided to put it to the test anyway and once I emerged from dense tree canopy, my progress was apparent and I was able to test the check-in feature several times successfully. This will provide peace of mind to both of us in the future.

This review is for the brand new Shogun 7 release in October 2023 with AtomosOS 11. I currently have the Ninja V which I love but I film hockey games and its sometime hard to follow the puck on the 5 screen. The new Shogun 7 makes a big difference and allows me to zoom in further but yet I can still follow the puck action. Most controls are very similar to the Ninja V so if you have used that in the past you feel right at home. Battery life isn't much worse than the Ninja V. Its a little bulkier in size but not too bad. Also you get a USB C power cable so you can plug that in and have the battery connected remotely keeping the weight down on the actual monitor.

It was always a beautiful display monitor since release, but since the latest firmware updates this year 2023, it is in a league of its own. Premium Colour is beautiful with HDR with the quantum dot ips display. It is now able to do 0.1ms GTG 144hz at 4k or lower resolutions; it can do 500 fps with adaptive sync off, vsync, gsync, freesync etc to get ultimate minimal input lag. As especially when using a 8k HDMI 2.1a cable connected to a 3080 12gb or Rtx 4080 (am now using) there is zero motion blur. Let it be known I manage a high end AV store and this is the best monitor we have tested. - new firmware.
