My wife and I live in upstate New York and in the spring and fall we experience several severe thunderstorms. Lightning hits very close to our mobil home and a strike could just fry our computers. With this APC Battery Backup we have both CPU units, monitors and our printers plugged into the surge protection section. I feel very comfortable using our computers during a thunderstorm after purchasing this unit. Everything works perfect, it was recognized by my laptop with Windows 10 immediately, without the need to install drivers. However it didn’t connect to my PC Windows XP, which isn’t really promised by description as I know, so it’s ok, but people who still have XP, probably will be disappointed. By the way, other 3TB Transcend HDD connects to my PC without any issues, so it’s unlikely a driver/USB port problem. Shipping was fast and everything came in great condition. I liked experience with this order. 5 |
