So far, I have no issues with the magsafe converter. After converting to a newer macbook I was afraid that my old charger would be worthless. To make the problem worse, I knew I would need a second charger to leave at the office. Luckily, I came across this adapter before I bought a second charger! The magnetic connect between eh adapter and the charger is VERY strongI'm not worried that it will accidentally fall off. Otherwise, I wouldn't notice that this wasn't a standard magsafe 2. 5 |

I'm using this on a new Macbook pro, it's great to be able to use the older usb ports and still have the newer ports. Wish it had the older thunderbolt 2, but understand that interface is a bit more complicated. 5 |

It took me forever to finally upgrade my old 2012 MacBook Pro as the newer one's have been denuded of their SD card slot and older USB 2.0 sockets. I had heard rumor that getting a smaller side dock was a mediocre solution, but didn't want to carry all of my adapters during a trip to the Caribbean, so this one made the most sense to me. I must say I was quite pleased with it, so much so that I didn't really notice it much, as it just worked without flaw. If you are running one of the 2014 or newer MacBook Pro laptops, I highly recommend it! 5 |

My Macbook pro mid2012 is old and couldn’t keep up with the newer programs like photoshop and Lightroom. They use a lot of ram. So I decided to update it with 16gb ram instead of 4 works excellent. No more waiting to load every time I clicked to change a setting Feels like a new computer again or at least a lot smoother. 5 |

It works beautifully on the newer MacBook Pro computers with the thunderbolt cable outlet. It also has an SD slot which is now missing on the MacBooks, as well as two USB outlets and an HDMI. 5 |
