I use this with my Voigtlander 15mm lens on a Leica film camera and a Leica digital camera. It is an essential tool if you want to see what you are taking pictures of with this equipment. The viewfinder itself is very well built, made of brass with a black finish. It looks good. It presents a very clear frame that is easy to see for those of us who wear glasses. Just be careful not to loose it. I was using the 28mm version of this when It came out of the hot shoe. After retracing my steps for several blocks I found it on the pavement, somewhat scraped, but otherwise fine. (now it looks like I've been in a war or two!)

Searching for a practical case for the new Leica V-Lux 3, as Leica does not offer anything except a too big carry-all bag, I carefully measured the camera dimensions. Turns out the V-Lux 3 dimensions are very close to the Leica M Series digital rangefinder cameras with 80mm lens. This case, designed for the M Series, fits PERFECT for the V-Lux 3. Velcro flap on the back includes pockets for digital cards, but too small for a spare battery. As I always carry a camera in a laptop type shoulder bag with other material, this lightweight, close-fitting neoprene case is ideal to protect the camera from impact and scratches when travelling.

As a collector of various digital camera classics by LEICA, Panasonic LUMIX and NIKON, I like the ability to keep all my batteries alive with the excellent Watson 2 bay battery charger and the different available plates.

I own a Leica MP film camera as well as the Leica M11-P digital camera. Thanks to this diopter I can now focus my rangefinder cameras in lightening speed.

I've been taking photos professionally for more than 35 years, mostly in a studio, so I've only really owned higher end point-and-shoot cameras (Leica D-Lux 3 and 4) for general picture taking outside the studio. That is, until I bought the Fuji X-Pro3. Even though I owned a few Leica M lenses, I just couldn't justify buying and M10, especially since it seemed to be short on features compared to other high-end digital cameras. I think the X-Pro3 has a great compliment of modern digital camera features blended with an old-school camera layout and feel. I've compared the quality of photos it takes with my best studio cameras (Pentax 645Z & Fuji GX680 w. Phase One digital back) and the X-Pro3 holds its own in terms of dynamic range and overall feel. I like being able to change film simulations for different shooting situations. And, coming from a film camera background, I don't at all mind not having its back screen showing all the time. I bought a few lenses for my X-Pro3: a XF16-55MMF2.8 R LM WR; XF10-24MMF4 R OIS WR and a XF50-140MMF4 R LM OIS WR and they're all tack-sharp and have a heft and construction quality that matches my old Leica M lenses. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my X-Pro3 system. And the camera body and all three lenses cost a little more than just HALF of what a Leica M10r body alone would have cost.

This is my 2nd small Leica digital camera. The photo quality is great and it’s easy to use anytime or any place. I loved my first one but this one is even better.

I recently decided to go back to using a digital Leica (M-262) as my primary camera. I was able to afford the purchase by selling my FujiFilm digital kit. To be honest, my cameras were several years old and getting a little long in the tooth. I figured I should sell them before they were worth pennies. I still own a Leica M6 35mm film camera and the most amazing FujiFilm X-100F digital camera. I already own two Leica lenses, a 1970 50mm f2 Summicron and a 90mm 2.4 Summarit. I felt the need for a faster lens. I already owned the Voigtlander 35mm 1.4 Nokton Classic which has great image and build quality so I eagerly awaited the release of the Voigtlander Nokton 50mm 1.2. This lens was anticipated to be an amazing alternative to the very expensive Leica 50mm lenses. I purchased my lens from B&H Photo in New York. I have always had good luck purchasing from them as they are very trustworthy and reputable. My Lens arrived new and amazingly well constructed as I expected. I do wish the lens came with the matching hood and maybe a dust pouch or bag. It just came in standard protective box and packaging (yawn). I think they are missing the mark by not adding some updated presentation packaging. I have found the lens to be very sharp and has a very nice Bokeh. Any lack of sharpness has been caused by being out of practice with the manual focus rangefinder, my eyes starting to age, astigmatism in my dominant eye and my now use of the dreaded spectacles. I am amazed at the image quality and construction of the Voigtlander. I have owned many 50mm lenses from different manufacturers to include the Canon 50mm L 1.2 and I have to say that this little guy (Voigtlander) takes the cake. It has amazing character to it. I used this to teach Jon Cone's newest digital inkset designed to make Platinum-Palladium printing more reliable and more direct. I have been running and teaching professional workshops in new approaches to printing for 25 years. This workshop got big thumbs up from participants. I can not say enough about how reliably UP OHP from roll worked. Ordered more immediately. www.makingartsafely.com

When Phase One ships their newest digital back with a product it is as high a voucher as you can get from a manufacturer. After using the provided card (with the back) and purchasing three additional of these cards, I have had no problems, excellent read and write speeds. These cards are handling 150mp raw captures at times in extremely quick succession. I don't think there is a more data heavy photo test than this. I have used them for 5 years. downside- They may be more expensive than other brands but if you value your images and the great expense you go to to make them, this is not where you want to be pennywise.
