I'm a public media reporter and I use this microphone in my home office for online interviews and voicing news spots.

I'm a news reporter with a hatred of my own voice, this microphone made me enjoy hearing myself talk. Rich sound, well constructed, quality packaging and materials. The ONLY thing I would have liked to see was a microphone clip included, but

I am a radio news reporter in a major U.S. market. I have used many different microphones in the field. Hands down, the Sennheiser MD46 is the best. At this point, I wouldn't take anything else out. It sounds clearer than other mics, rejects surrounding noise better, accommodates a mic flag nicely, has a great balanced feel in the hand and is the perfect size and weight if I had to defend myself behind police lines. That hasn't happened yet but you never know when what will happen when you report live from crime scenes. Watch your local news at night, chances are the reporters in the field are using the wireless version. Almost all reporters use the Sennheiser. There is a reason for that. If you are going to interview in a noisy area and want pro sounding audio...use what the pros use. Go with the cardioid pick up pattern, NOT the omni directional. Last week, I interviewed patrons in a noisy pub, Led Zeppelin was blaring in the background. When I cut up the audio for the story, it was barely there. The audio came out fantastic. I just bought my own just in case the station's were all checked out so I'll never be without my MD 46.

I am news director and reporter for WRWR-TV in Warner Robins,Ga. I purchased the PROVISTA to perform my job, in that the station has cheap mostly broken tripods. The PROVISA performs better than I had hoped. The fluid head is a delight to pan and tilt with, the hard steady legs gives me the assurance of no shake perfect video. Can't say enough about the great investment I made buying the PROVISTA from B&H.Thaks you,John Birdsong

This does exactly what it says. Set it to 20% power for interviews or higher for shooting across the room. As a news reporter, I need the flexibility this light has to offer. Very lightweight, about the size of a credit card.

Excellent range! Pairs perfect with a rode reporter for a very sturdy microphone

The foam windscreen replaces a Pearstone one I lost from my RE 50 reporter's microphone. Unlike the Pearstone, I am very happy with this one's fit and its performance. It seems to do much better in higher velocity winds, and I haven't heard a p-pop since I installed it.

We use this Microphone for gathering television news. This style mic has been used for this purpose for many years. We still have some in use that forty or more years old.
