So I'm using this HD for a night owl servalence system to record video from four cameras. The HD was easy to install just plug and play. It's perfect for my use and I highly recommend this product to others. Going the route of buying the dvr and HD separate saved me about $150! Thanks B&H for having such a great product. 5 |

I bought this device for birding, specifically looking for owls at night. Some of the top thermal scopes cost upwards of $4k. The problem is, they are clearly marked as Export Controlled. I don't want to get into any trouble with those. This little plug-in camera cost only $400. So I decided to give it a try. I brought it to Guatemala a few days ago, hooked up with an old Pixel 3A phone, it worked great, far better than I expected. I found an owl at night perched silently behind our cabin on my second night there. I could see the red-hot owl based on the body shape. Even smaller birds can show up as hotspots at night. Definitely worth the $$$. 5 |
