My roots in photography go back to 35mm B&W Tri X. I am very happy to find Kodak and B&H still supply this great film. I use this in my dad's 1962 Kodak Duaflex IV camera and am thrilled to see the wonderful results. The film has great exposure latitude to make up for the age of the camera and the grain - love grain in my B&W film. Helps to give that classic film look. Great for art photography. 5 |

Ektar 100 is among the best 35mm films available today. It is a very fine grained film which produces super sharp images. I love the deep color saturation and contrast as well. I disagree with the review that states that Ektar doesn't do well at night as I use it pretty routinely for night photos with great results. I don't consider Reala to be in the same class as Ektar. I also find it very forgiving as I have exposed it at ASA 400 and still got acceptable results. The colors went super-saturated though. This film is great for strobist work and product shots due to it's sharpness. I think it is great for portraits as well even though you probably would benefit from softening the sharpness down some. I've compared results to a D7000, D300 and other digital cameras and they still aren't on par with Ektar. I also appreciate how flat it lays on my Epson V700 scanner; very well behaved! I use this film a lot on several different film cameras and lens combinations. I have several examples on my flickr page: username greauxe then search for ektar from my photostream 5 |

I do a lot of street scene photography at night. I have found this film gives the best and most consistent results. 5 |

I like to use this film in low light situations with artificial light of different colors. The best film for night street photography. 5 |

I initially got my a7iii with the sony 35mm 2.8 and it was great. That lens is phenomenal but I wanted a zoom lens with the same distance and went for the 16-35 and im extremely happy i did. i mainly use my camera for vlogs and skits or just story telling and this lens does the job with amazing quality. quick story when I unboxed it, I was in a car at night driving home and my first impression was that I was going to have to raise my iso because I thought the area was too dark.. nope!! the lens did excellent at night and camera performed incredible.. overall, couldnt be happier with the pair. 5 |

I use this with my mirrorless camera and the Essential Film Holder. I scan tons of 35mm film and this light works perfectly. 5 |
