Night Time Street Photography

Amazing product, good for street night photography

I do a lot of street scene photography at night. I have found this film gives the best and most consistent results.

I like to use this film in low light situations with artificial light of different colors. The best film for night street photography.

I bring it with me every time I go for street photography or hiking

Works as described and is a must for night time photography and other settings...

This review is properly formatted using paragraphs - I hope B&H doesn't run all the sentences together! I used this lens on a Sony a7 iii. I often set the lens for f4, 1/800 sec, and Auto ISO. Besides routine tests, I used the lens for street photography, at festivals, and at night. (A) Daytime - Sharpness – Excellent! Wide-open at f2.0, in bright sunlight, the lens is sharp. If you pixel peep, the lens is a bit crisper at f/2.8. In compromised light overcast skies, shadows) there is softness to images at f/2.0. Sharpness is restored at f2.8. - Exposure, Contrast, and Colors are very good straight out of the camera. (B) Night Photography (shot at ISO = 100 and mostly f9) - Excellent sharpness - Lines on neon letters do not blur together as may happen on cheap lenses - Excellent starburst pattern at both f9 and f16!!! (C) Compare this Sony lens to: (1) Rokinon 24mm f/2.8 autofocus – the Rokinon lens is really an f/5.6 or even an f/8 lens. In subdued lighting, such as an overcast sky or shooting in shadows, the images get soft at any aperture. Images were often (slightly) over-exposed. Night shots were typically soft and unpleasing. (2) Samyang 35mm f/2.8 autofocus – excellent sharpness for still subjects. However, it did not focus well for shooting moving subjects, such as people during street photography. Night shots were usually softer than those from the Sony 28mm. (D) Back to the Sony 28mm: - (For me) 28mm is an excellent focal length - Excellent performance in a variety of settings - Light weight, compact size, and low price – this lens fulfills the promise of the mirror-less philosophy.

Great small and light lens. Good for casual pictures at night or street photography. Good for portrait.

This lens works great for night time photography.
