I'm no pro, so this is a good starter zoom lens for my Nikon D3000. It performs as expected, operates smoothly, and interfaces with the camera's software in a predictable fashion. It's best for situations that have some space about them like a backyard or neighborhood or a large gathering. For closer quarters I need to revert to the 18-55 mm lens (no zoom) that came with the camera kit. I'm very happy with my choice. I hope to be able to afford a true telephoto lens some day. 5 |
