Nikon Fm Film Camera

A must-have for Nikon F/FM/FE-series film camera and Df, so much so that I really think it should come with the camera in the first place. 5 |

I had a nikon FM-10 film camera and learned basic photography skills on that years ago. I've had a canon dsrl for a long time and this is my first Nikon DSRL. This thing is awesome. As an amateur, I'm still learning a lot about photography, and my experience with this camera so far has been amazing. I haven't had any trouble adjusting from Canon as far as menus and controls. The manual goes over everything clearly and actually a quick youtube rundown of this got me up and running fast. I can't believe the results I've gotten so far with this camera paired with a 70-200 f2.8 (nikon af-s) and a sigma 500mm f 4.5. The sigma was used and I was able to use the AF fine tune to get it dialed in and I'm getting shots that I'm really happy with now. It's a bit of a jump in price to go to this level of equipment but the results have me excited to go out and shoot again so even as a hobbyist, I think it was well worth it. 5 |

I wanted a lightweight but sturdy tripod for film cameras, particularly my Nikon FM-2 and my Olympus OM-1. Small packing volume was less important and I didn't want to fuss with too many leg sections. I was willing to pay up to $200. This one at half that price is perfect for my needs. With the legs collapsed you can lock them or release them in one partial turn. Extended, of course, you must do all three locks on a leg individually. It's very stable, and even holds my Hasselblad 501C securely. The PU 30 QR plate is fine with most lenses, but there's a bit of "sag" after I tighten the ball head with a 200mm lens on the FM-2. A 60mm plate from Breakthrough Photography took care of that. I can't speak to its longevity, but it's so well made I'm confident I'll get a lot of service from it. This was a completely satisfying purchase. 5 |

This lens takes me back to my Nikon FM and the 35mm lens I used, the second lens I owned for that camera after the 50 that came with it. There is something about the 35mm that is almost magical. The 1.4 delivers smooth as silk images that are amazing. I've got three zooms (10-24, 18-55, 55-200) and this lens will most likely stay on the body the majority of the time. It's size is great and unobtrusive. The focus does search a bit at times but not too bad. I wish the hood was a little different shaped as it's tricky to get the lens cap off. I love the f-stop ring and the way you feel it click on each stop, throwback for sure. 5 |

I have a Nikon FM and and FM2 and I just bought one strap for the FM and, I should have purchased 2 of these straps. Very comfortable if you are out and about for long periods of time. Frees you up to scope out a image and to visualize the image with the the camera around the neck. Would love this strap even more if there were quick release clips for the camera and not on the strap itself. 5 |

I bought my first camera in 1979, a Nikon FM with a 35mm f/2.8. My new NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 (SE) on my Z7 takes me back with the look and feel of a NIKKOR AI series lens. But my new lens is twice as fast with the modern features that I want. I love the soft focus on this lens! I have the standard kit zoom lens that came with my Z7; and it's a good lens. I love how light weight and fast this lens is! This is a GREAT old school lens for that everyday prime lens on a full frame Z camera. 5 |

Reminds me of my first film cameras - FM, FE. I like that even the ISO control is on the top deck so I can shoot fully manual. I also like the secondary command dial which is easier to use that the flush dial on my Nikon Df. I do use a para cord wrist strip because it's small and I have to be conscious of my grip. It's my first MILC so I'm glad I got the kit. Just waiting for the second battery to become available. 5 |

I've been shooting since Nikon released the original FM, and this is the first time I've encountered the option to connect a lens, to update the firmware *and* to tweak the focus, if need be. Beam me up, Scotty! 5 |

The title says it all! I am VERY pleased with this lens. I've had Nikon equipment starting with a FM to D8xx and never had a super wide lens. Now with a Z7, I am SO glad I got this lens! 5 |
