Nikon Introduce Mirrorless Camera Bodies
Charles | 2024-07-05 06:35:28 |
While waiting for Nikon to introduce larger telephotos for their mirrorless lenses I had been forced to use the FTZ adapter with my DSLR lenses - - a less than desirable situation in the field. I have been using the 1.4 TC with great success on the 70-200 f/2.8 S with great results, but limited reach for wildlife. The TC 2X really has made a difference and I never remove it from the 20-200mm lens. The sharpness and clarity have exceeded my expectation throughout the focal range. As the vast majority of my images get cropped, softening at the edges almost never is an issue. The auto focus system on the Z7ii does not appear to be affected in any way. 5 |

I have only bought premium Nikon lenses for adapting to my mirrorless bodies, and although it may be irrational, I just feel gross about putting no-name caps on them and then using a metallic Sharpie to mark what the lens is. I don't mind cheap caps on cheap lenses. 5 |

I have three mirrorless camera bodies and six lenses. The 50 L dry cabinet is adequate to hold my camera gear. If you have large full frame cameras and big lenses, you might look at going with the Ruggard Dry Cabinet in a larger size. 5 |

Roomy enough to carry two mirrorless bodies and several lenses in the camera compartment. Other compartments are pretty spacious with good organizer sections for an 18 L backpack. 5 |

I have owned the Olympus EM1MK3 and the original G9. I have also owned mirrorless bodies from every brand. This is my favorite mirrorless camera of all time, so far. It focuses great with both my Olympus and LUMIX glass. I could write paragraphs of how much I love the features but I’ll keep it short. Bird eye detect works fantastic. Also shooting landscape photos is a dream as well, so many great features for any type of photography. The Timelapse features are the best in the business as well. The new long exposure composite mode works just as well as the EM1MK3. Battery life is great, no different than any other mirrorless I’ve used. My only complaint would be that I wish they had upgraded the EVF to be as good as the OM1, but in general use I don’t even notice. I am not very brand loyal and have hopped between brands every year or two, Panasonic won me over again. I also shoot medium format and Leica digital rangefinders. If people can’t get great shots with micro four thirds and the amazing lenses then I don’t know what to tell ya. This camera is pricey but it’s a legit, pro body. One last con, I don’t like that they removed the top LCD information screen. I’ll be honest I didn’t use it often but it looked cool! Oh and one last thing. Thank you Panasonic for having the countdown display for long exposures! I love knowing how many seconds are left but PLEASE give us the option to increase shutter length past 60” without needing bulb. This can be an easy firmware update to compete with Fuji bodies. Sorry I wrote more than intended and could go on and on, just buy this camera if you are a micro four thirds shooter. 5 |

This little camera is truly remarkable. I'm a professional photojournalist and own a number of mirrorless alpha bodies; I bought this camera for hiking and skiing because it fits easily into almost any pocket. I've become disillusioned by iPhone images that are often flat and super saturated because of Apple's insistence on baking-in the HDR feature into their native camera app. This camera's image quality is outstanding and its 24-200 optical zoom is very versatile. They say the best camera is the one you always carry with you and if you're willing to pay the price (it is a bit expensive), it'll become the camera that doesn't leave your side. If you're looking to ditch your smart phone camera and its limitations, this little camera is for you. Highly recommend. 5 |

Perfect for attaching a sling strap to my Fuji mirrorless bodies. Difficult to get through the camera eyelet, but you can use a piece of dental floss to pull it through. 5 |

This mic is well worth the investment to capture much better audio from a DSLR or mirrorless camera. I use it for both types of camera bodies and I've been very satisfied with it as an on-board mic when capturing b-roll on the go. 5 |

I just got the Nikon Z6 Mirrorless camera; this is my first mirrorless body and I'm super excited to see how it compares to my DSLRs. First impressions are great with it producing high quality images and fast focusing. I love that it's light-weight and easy to travel! 5 |
