Nikon Mirrorless Fx Camera

I am Going from DX to FX. I love the touchscreen and improved capabilities. I love the fact that I can use fx lenses that I had from my DX cameras and DX lenses also. This is a great camera that I will be using for years. I thought about going mirrorless but using the adapter for FX lenses makes the mirrorless camera just as heavy. I was also concerned about the lack of Z series lenses.

I hemmed and hawed about getting the Z50 I had depleted my DX equipment purposely and moved on to full frame. After enough You Tube viewing to make my eyes red. I started to see what most everyone was raving about. A mirrorless camera the size of a bridge camera that would use most of my FX lenses when I wanted it to and a terrific, though be it slow, zoom lens on the thing witch gave the equivalent of a 24 - 70mm lens in FX. All in a very portable size. In this review I won't get specifically into its operation. I have only had it a few days and admittedly, am unfamiliar with mirrorless cameras. But if what I have been able to do so far is any indication of what I will do in the future with this, Wow! hang on. It in conjunction with my FX collection really makes for a bunch of possibilities.  Just on first impressions alone, its worth the price. Watch some You Tube videos like I did and then get your hands on one.

I use it on both my Nikon FX D780 and my Nikon DX D7200 cameras, and it works well on either camera.

I just got the Nikon Z6 Mirrorless camera; this is my first mirrorless body and I'm super excited to see how it compares to my DSLRs. First impressions are great with it producing high quality images and fast focusing. I love that it's light-weight and easy to travel!

In a word, OUTSTANDING! This Nikkor lens has plenty of range thereby replacing having a few (and heavier) lenses while on the go; and no need to switch to another. Although the Nikkor 28-400mm lens has some weight, it just feels good. There has been some concern about the f/4-8, but I haven't experienced any issues as yet. As you extend it from 28mm and f/4, it increases to f/8 at about 200mm. I have, and love, my Nikon FX D850 camera along with a wonderful assortment of Prime Nikkor F-mount lenses. My Nikkor Z-mount 28-400mm lens is on a Nikon FX Z f camera--together they go where I go. My only negative is that the rectangular lens hood blocks the AF-assist illuminator sensor on a Z f camera.

First FX Nikon after several DX models. Excellent camera/lens combination at great price. Excellent customer service and fast shipping. Much faster than one of their competitors. Still waiting for them to ship a preowned lens that, unfortunately, BH didn't have. Oh well. Live and learn!

Ok I bought this lens for my nikon d3100 and found out that I didn't need because it's a fx lens and I have a dx camera so unless I was going to upgrade I could get the 55-300 with does the same thing as far as shooting and pics go. So if you don't plan on upgrading your camera in the near future I say u get the other lens but this was a really good lens one day I'll come back for it.

I'm very pleased with my FX full-frame Nikon D780 camera. And it's nice to be able to swap lenses between it and my Nikon D7200 DX camera body.
