Nikon Vs Canon Digital Point And Shoot Cameras

This is the second digital pouch I have purchased. It is perfect for my higher end point and shoot cameras. I throw it in my pack and don't have to worry about dirt or moisture. The thick neoprene protects it from bumps that seem to occur in the outdoors. It fits perfectly.

I have been taking digital photos with point & shoot cameras for years, but finally decided on this DSLR. Small, light, and amazing! Very pleased with the quality of the photos just using the P(rogram) setting, but it can do so much more. The 2 lenses in the bundle compliment each other perfectly. There is so much here that a dedicated book is a must; I downloaded the ebook version of David Busch's Canon EOS Rebel SL2/200D Guide to Digital SLR Photography, which will go a long way towards helping figure things out. The LED screen is amazing, and the articulation makes it 10x more useful. Pros may have nits to pick with this 'entry-level' camera, but regular folks looking for a first DSLR won't go wrong with the SL2.

After ownging several point and shoot digital cameras and having stored away two other 35mm SLR's with assorted lenses, bags, flashes, etc. I finally decided to purchase a DSLR. So far I have been pleased with the Rebel SL1. I found it easy to learn to use with both the provided quick start and the more detailed instructions. I have not made any prints as yet, so at this point a detailed look at printed image quality is TBD. I was disappointed by the shipping packaging, although some of the problem might be due to rough handling by UPS. The box had several open seams and one small item, the lens cap retainer was missing. B&H promptly replaced the missing item at no cost -- thanks B&H.

Fits an iphone or most point and shoot digital cameras. Does not come with foam so I recommend adding some bubble wrap or other material to the case to prevent whatever is inside from moving around.

I use this compact tripod for my digital point and shoot cameras and my smaller pinhole cameras. The ball head keeps camera steady and I like how it can lay flat against the camera body for storage. The feet offer good grip.

I have Nikon lenses and D810 / D750 cameras, but they are not always easy to carry in some special circumstances. I have a Sony 'point and shoot' for which I have purchased an eyepiece to make it workable outside, but it allows so few adjustments, it is frustrating to use. Enter the Lumix which is nearly as flexible as our big Nikons, has a built in eyepiece, and is so small that you can take it lots of places with little effort. Pictures are sharp for a point and shoot, and takes raw shoots as well, so post production is workable if you selected the wrong settings originally. Have a simple belt holder, and a shoulder strap case, won't be without it. As they say, the best camera is the one you have with you......and this takes up very little space, not much more than your phone. Great purchase.

I have used their products for many years with my DSLRs and point & shoot cameras, most recently with the Nikon Coolpix A1000. Highly recommend this product for anyone trying to focus on their LCD screens outdoors

I am a Canon guy have have been for years for everything from my point-and-shoot, to my video cameras, to my projector, to my DLSR. LOVE THEM and love their products. Ordered the 5D Mark IV to replace my 60D which I’ve had since 2012. It’s a great step up in a lot of ways, the biggest for me being it’s video capabilities. Like all cameras in this range, it shoots amazing stills - but it’s ability to get amazing video has really set it apart. I use it for both myself as a photography hobbyist as well as the production work I do as a career. Excellent camera!!!

Some Canon Point and Shoot Cameras have limited battery life due to their small size. Always good to grab a spare battery so I can keep shooting.

This is a camera in a long line of excellent Canon complex point and shoot cameras that are compact, of very high quality, and loaded with good features for landscapes, people shooting, general travel documentation, etc. I have owned more than 10 such Canon cameras over the last 20 years and have been pleased with all of them. They stack up nicely against the excellent Sony RX100 series.
