Ninja Blast Portable Blender Bottom Cap

Fits the Atomos Ninja V, without having to buy a cage. Bottom panel is soft so easier access to touchscreen. Simple but effective solution to shooting outdoors on sunny days

Everybody complaining about the FATAL design flaw --- I don't know what I can say that wouldn't my review taken down. It's called a NATO mount, you can clamp accessories to the top and bottom and slide them side-to-side anywhere you choose... not to mention the 3/8-16 Arri style mounting point in the center position on the bottom IS STILL AVAILABLE because the Ninja is only meant to be held in place by one 1/4-20 threaded bolt on the top middle and the two M2.5 screws on the side next to the HDMI ports. This more than secures the Ninja recorder, leaving plenty of options for mounting points in the center on the top and bottom. This is not so much a design flaw as it is a flaw in the imagination or intelligence of the people using the product. Maybe SmallRig could do a little better job of explaining how to it's supposed to be set up - there's probably instructions and a diagram on the pieces of paper that everybody instinctively throws away before they even get started. As far as the product goes, I'm extremely happy with it. Initially I didn't realize how critical having an external recorder would be and how integral this would become to my workflow. Now that I do know I'm more than happy to spend the money to invest in something to protect it. SmallRig goes out of their way to contour the cage in order to make sure it does not obstruct any ventilation or other ports. The retaining clips for the SSD slot is made to fit the Master Caddys (HUGE PLUS) and the HDMI Clamp to limit wear and tear on the all important HDMI in port is a HUGE plus. A well earned 5/5.

Does what it does! I love the large bulbous feature. It gives a strong blast of air and helps with some stubborn dust removal on your camera and lens. Although, not designed to be portable due to the large size. It is best left at home. They also have smaller portable size. An indispensable and safe tool that every photographer should have.

Works perfect. Portable. I have to be always careful about not loosing on brass-looking loose part, at the bottom.

Really nice size. Looks great and build quality appears superb. Nice case, has place to screw in the macro lens so it won't get lost but kinda easy to get fingers all over it when screwing it in/out. With a bit of care, fingerprints on the macro lens is not really too hard to avoid. The case is a hard case with belt loop (debatable, but clip is bett. It has magnet on the cover to help it close nicely. The case has a strap inside so when you open the top, the whole monocular sort of lifts out part way so you can easily grab it. It has a lanyard with two loops. One for the monocular and the other for the top (eye side) cap. There is no bottom cap at all - which for the really, really high price, just seems absurd. I have no issues with feeling good about the optics etc being a Lieca, but if you want to just drop this in your purse or pocket, you better hunt around for a snug fitting bottom lens cap. Without a bottom cap, you are basically forced to use the hardcase. How many folks really use belt loop, sturdy clip may be better. The lanyard is fine but cannot be stored in the case with any ease, so it tends to hang out the side. You could maybe roll the lanyard around the monocular before putting in the case but to do this, you would have to toss the strap adjuster (spring loaded device the size of a smallish marble) used to adjust strap size around your wrist). I got this for wife, she loves it. I probably should have subtracted from the rating for lack of a cap but the great quality compensates. Yes, very high priced and the lack of the cap for mere pennies is imho just total dumb. If it were mine, I would seriously want to be able to put it in my pocket and use the case only for storage at home, not in the field or the theater etc. But that's me :-). The lanyard is big/long relative to going around your hand/wrist but not big enough to hang around your neck. Focus ring, smooth, snug and precise. Ease of use and view quality is great.

I have accumulated a very good assortment of tripods and this Benro Series 3 Mach3 carbon fiber tripod shows excellent stability on all surfaces. Be sure you are looking at the right tripod because Benro has provided two very similar carbon fiber tripods, one with four section legs and this one with three sections. The stability remains solid even when the center column is extended to its full 63.58 inch height. I dont need the taller tripod because most of my work can be accomplished at lower heights, and it even has a short column for getting down and gritty for a ground level perspective. Getting excellent use out of the short columns with my tripods revealed one thing Benro hasnt quite perfected yet, and that is the accessory short columns purchased separately are better quality than those provided with the tripod. For Benro to think that providing a short column is merely a novelty for occasional use is very wrong. The after-market columns have three set screws in the camera base and are also provisioned with 3/8x16 threads on the bottom for accepting a cap such as those found on the main column for holding extra weight for stability. Unfortunately the only bottom cap I have found that will work with all of them is the cap provided on this Series 3 Mach3 tripod. Thats a bonus since the accessory short columns dont even include a bottom cap.

My only knock on this case is that the clasps on the end cap should have been reversed. When in use, there is one "dangling" clasp on the bottom of the case (from the end cap) that has to be folded up out of the way or it will mar any surface you try to set the console on. Otherwise, it's a well designed case with some nice storage.

If you need to mount to a super clamp, this comes with (4) 5 mm-0.8 x 16 mm internal hex plain steel metric socket cap screws [uses 4mm hex key, length is measured from the bottom of the cap to the end of the screw] with (4) 5 mm stainless-steel flat washers [i.d. 0.19 in, o.d. 0.37 in, thickness 0.032 in]. There are a pair of mounting holes on each side at the top, middle, and bottom of each bracket. I like to use two super clamps per bracket, and can confirm the orange box store has these exactly, #574193 and #366757. This bracket also comes with two plastic spacers if you only want to use one super clamp per bracket.

I got this to use as a bottom stack cap for my 43 and 52mm filters with step-up ring. It can also be used as a UV protector. Nevertheless, it has a 1/4 stop Neutral Density effect when used in low light. It's very clear and has no color tint when used. For the price, it's well worth the cost as either a stack cap, or lens filter. reason is, Metal stack caps cost 2x the price, and you only really need the rear cap, as a pinch cap will perform more efficently than the screw on stack cap.
