I'm replacing a 2019 Macbook Pro 16 whose battery had reached the end of its useful life. I could have had the battery serviced for $200, but it made more sense to me to upgrade to a lighter machine with the same 1T storage and speed. It's only a pound lighter than the Pro, but that pound makes a huge difference since I haul it around daily. 5 |

The 12.9in M1 iPad Pro has a great screen, good battery life, is comfortable to hold, and is relatively future-proof. You can use it for most things you use a laptop computer for, although it isn't a perfect replacement (for example, there is still no solution for citation management in the iPadOS version of Word). But it is unmatched in its applications for creative professionals - especially when paired with the Apple Pencil. I get about 10-15 hours of battery life on a single charge with standard usage (with screen brightness about 20%). The battery life was worse the first couple days as it did a lot of stuff in the background like syncing my files with iCloud. 5 |

This is the second replacement battery I have purchased for my Back UPS Pro. The batteries have long life and when they're exhausted, there's nothing easier than contacting APC to get a new one. Replacement service is expedited, and APC even includes provision for sending the old battery to a recycling center, free of charge. I highly recommend using APC. 5 |
