One of the most frustrating things about my MacBook Pro is that I'm always in need of adapters and extra ports. As a video editor, I have a million things plugged in at once. This USB-C dock is cleverly designed to fit snugly along the side of your Mac without sacrificing any ports, as it comes with two USB-C ones. It worked flawlessly and I love that it includes an HDMI port, so my old cables are given a slightly longer life. The only strange aspect of the design is that you need to insert your SD cards in upside down. I was a little confused when I first tried using it, but it's really not a big deal. [I received this product in exchange for my honest review.]

As a long tim RX user (since RX version 3) and pro video editor who has to solve a bunch of audio issues, I find this invaluable, it is fast, easy, real time and has a low CPU hit. It is almost perfect. So glad I got it, get it and you won't regret it.

I've always been a final cut pro/iMovie editor. I made this purchase to upgrade my older iMac. The SD card holder works perfectly for my workflow with my canon. It's super fast and a joy to add it on. The keyboard and mouse are too small. Wish that was different but overall a great computer. As always B&H delivers in a timely manner and handles with care.

I'm a video editor and I had been using SanDisk 4TB pro SSDs for holding my high res footage of a large editing project. When both SSDs failed in the first 6 months, I was done with SanDisk. I bought these OWC drives, which were a bit more expensive than the SanDisk. They have been incredibly solid and I have had zero issues. The construction is quite rugged while still being extremely portable. They're not as small and sleek as the SanDisk drives, but I have FAR more confidence in these drives. They feel really professional. I know that the people at OWC care about the quality of the items that carry their name. I couldn't ask for anything better.

I'm a professional editor waiting to update my aging 2008 Mac Pro. Though incredibly expensive, I saw how the new Mac Pro was optimized to work with FCP X and knew it would work with my workflow. Being part of my livelihood, the purchase was deemed by me to be worth it. It is incredibly much smaller and lighter (which when I have to travel to location is greatly appreciated), and quieter. In my office where there are hard drives whirring, that is a welcome respite. As Apple has designed the new Mac Pro as the hub, this purchase may require additional considerations such as having to buy external storage such as USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt drives, a PCIe chassis (for those with cards needed for video ingesting like the RED Rocket card or AJA cards), an e-SATA Thunderbolt hub, a DVD / Blu-Ray burner, etc. It can be a bit of a wire jungle behind the computer but that was always the case with me and my last Mac Pro. It is worthy purchase for me, but I realize that if I did less processor intensive tasks like word processing, e-mail, internet surfing, media consumption, etc. I would definitely not find this worth the price and just opt for the excellent iMac series for far less. However, if you're a video editor, 3D artist, serious photographer or anyone who has to render images quickly and efficiently, then I would seriously give this a strong consideration. Personally, I'm loving it. One thing I do wish the Mac Pro came with was bigger internal storage (I got the 1TB internal SSD) as I had to take my rather large iTunes library and put it on a 2TB external USB 3.0 drive, but maybe one day someone will release larger capacity SSDs.

My old MacBook Pro is from 2015 after getting this new laptop everything works just like butter. I am a professional videographer and editor, and things now move very smoothly and quickly when editing 4K footage not like the old one. I am totally loving this laptop.

Coming from Avid background as a editor, since I always had my workstation custom made for better performance and price. As long as you stay within Vmix system requirement. You will have a rock solid system running like 10/40 oil. I would advise you to get the pro edition to better enjoy the Vmix call. I purchased my copy of pro edition here in B&H. Great people.

I'm a pro video editor and use G-RAID drives (have for years) and have never had a problem. Solid form factor, mount immediately, quality components and always quick delivery from B&H.

This is exactly what I needed to take full advantage of Color Finale Pro! As a full time editor who finds himself doing more and more color correction and color grading this tool speeds up my workflow significantly. It's also very affordable, can't find anything that compares to it at this price point.
