These headphones are not noise cancelling but provide good sound isolation. They are comfortable, adjustable, and sound fairly neutral. I use them mainly for monitoring spoken-word audio podcast production, but they perform nicely for music as well. They compare quite favorably to my Sony MDR-7506's. In fact, they are just about indistinguishable. 5 |

Have 2 other Bose Noise-Cancelling headphones over the years and I always felt somewhat disappointed in the quality of the noise cancelling, but figured this is what it is. Now I know differently. These Sony headphones literally shut down nearly all the noise where I can't hear anyone talking to me and priced reasonably, unlike the Bose or Apple headphones. 5 |

I was looking for a good quality set of headphones without noise cancelling and all the other bells and whistles. I saw these and they seemed to be just what I was looking for. Good bass response and crystal clear sound. Very comfortable even when wearing them for long periods of time! I would definitely recommend them! 5 |
