Six months of research, opinion hemming and hawing later. Verdict: Great choice so far. The popularity of the 504hd had me wondering if the price diff was worth it. Trust me it was. One major reason, future prof 100mm bowl. It inspires confidence that my rig wont topple over or due to weight give backlash in the head. Having that confidence when I'm out on a shoot one man banding it lets me focus on the shot not on the gear; how it should be. Hand held is great but to much and your video looks armature. DSLR guys, (I'm one of them) yes you need a tripod. Note: there is some assembly of inserting the batteries there are two (bubble level, in sticks/new balancing system, in head). Surprisingly not as heavy as I thought since I contemplated the carbon fiber sticks. No need in my opinion. Over all can't wait to go shoot again with it and what better compliment can you give a piece of gear. Cheers. 5 |

Six months ago we replaced some aging UPSs in our server room with new APC SRT5KVA units in a redundant configuration. Today we had a power failure. The units operated as designed. If the lights hadn't gone out, we may not have even noticed. 5 |
