I purchased this with the Rode NT-USB Mini microphone and they function beautifully together. I had returned another company’s boom arm that was too stiff to be functional. This works great, is sturdy and is especially good for a limited space. Great flexibility and a good price.

I bought B&H's Rode NT-USB Mini USB Microphone Kit with Broadcast Arm and Closed-Back Headphones (BH #RONTUSBMINIB) and was fairly happy with it, but wanted to reduce sound transmitted through the desk-mounted arm. It seems that most shock mounts hold the barrel of the microphone, but the Rode NT-USB mini is a rectangular block rather than a cylinder. It bolts into this mount just fine though. The reduction in sound conducted through the arm is very noticeable. I don't have experience with other shock mounts to compare to, but this works better than I expected.

I had been using a Rode NT-USB, which is quite good but about 3x the price of the Samson Q2U. Looking for a cheaper option that I could purchase for my expanding team to have I purchased this after watching online reviews at Podcastage. While I may still prefer the Rode NT-USB sound slightly, it is only very slight. The sound quality is excellent and I can't imagine finding a better USB microphone for the price. I will be purchasing more of these for my team. The fact that it can also be use with an XLR cable and plug into our sound board for production is a bonus.

I have a RODE NT-1 Condenser microphone, which is a very good microphone, with a very nice sound for human voices. However, I was having to use the NT-1 in a room that is not sound proof and the NT-1 is VERY sensitive to background noises. After much research I decided to order the Shure SM7B and I am very pleased. I combined the SM7B with a FetHead inline preamp feeding into my RODECaster Pro. The signal is very clean, dramatic drop in background noise pickup, and the SM7B has a superb sound for voices. Add in the form factor on a boom arm is much less intrusive in front of the face than the NT-1 with the pop filter in place is and it makes using the SM7B much nicer when the camera is turned on. All in all a very positive purchase, would not hesitate getting a second (or third) SM7B if I needed to do a multi person web cast, or recording.

I am sure I am one of many people that did this during the pandemic but me and some friend's started a podcast summer last year. While trying to stay safe we invested into some USB Rode NT-USB Mics but felt it was necessary to make I had the best sound with an arm. Definitely loved the investment of getting this. Really it breaks down into two things, better sound and convenience. Since getting it I've been able to attach it to my desk and hide it behind my computer and just swing it out when using it. Since getting it the sound has been great, no weird like vibrations from it sitting on its stand. I've even used it for some Twitch streaming and having this arm has made getting the mic to a really good spot so clutch in that quality of that too. I believe it works with most Rode Mics, but can't speak for other brands. I know it worked for my Rode NT-USB if you are looking to find that out, as I know I was at first. Also it attaches via either a desk mount that tightens down or by drilling a hole through your desk, but believe that desk mount opens up to about an inch to 2 inches. Be careful tightening on your desk though, as if you over crank it, it could damage your desk. So if you've made the leap into podcasting or streaming this really is a great investment for your new fancy mic.

I bought this as a low-profile pop filter for my RODE NT-USB, and it works very well. Even though the NT-USB has a bit of an odd shape to it, this pop filter fit right on without any issues.

I used this with the Rode NT-USB Mini. If you are using clamp, make sure there is enough room to clamp to on edge of table you are using. This is a solid Boom Arm and extending it will put pressure on the clamp and if not seated properly it will move. Rode instructions make it clear to mount clamp properly. On my wishlist from Rode would be a couple extra Rode velcros, they are very handy and a nice size.
