I'm using Sonos for my main system to hear music

I purchased two Fives to use in my small home office. Streaming is through Amazon Music HD and I also use the line-in from my computer to watch online videos. Music was a big part of my life many years ago back in the 1970s and 80s. Then life got busy and music kinda went to the wayside. My wife also thought we could make better use of the space that was taken up by my large stereo system. So the Bose 601 series IV speakers, NAD stack, Dual 1229 turntable, and Teac CD player went into storage. I've listened to many songs through Amazon Music HD from my music era and think they sound great on the Fives. The convenience of high quality streaming can't be beat. It would be tough to go back to flipping vinyl again or using CDs. Although, I may fire up the old system someday just for old time sake and do a sound comparison. I'm no longer interested in listening to "loud and time to party like a rockstar" music. The Fives can certainly put out that type of power if that is your thing. I'm more interested in hearing the minor details and nuances within the music. The Fives do not disappoint in this area...especially after running Trueplay. Some recommended songs to highlight the Five's capabilities are: Guinnevere by Crosby, Stills & Nash; Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes by Paul Simon; Barcelona Nights by Ottmar Liebert; and Peel me a Grape by Diana Krall. I'm very happy with the Fives and will be adding additional components going forward. Next purchase will most likely be another Five and then upgrade the sound on my 65" Sony TV. Thank you Sonos for bringing high-quality music back into my life.

using this for live music .this sumer there are a number of shows that are social distanced and audience on grass . Screw this in and attach extensions and mics and Waalaa. screws in 10 in which is ok . Scheops and Dpa mics is really not much of a load .

The Play:5 has been a revelation. Up until I bought it, I'd been using a number of AirPlay speakers. These suffered from two big problems: they were unreliable (the devices often wouldn't show in my list of speakers for reasons I could never fathom) and, more subtly, they played music from my phone itself. This meant if your phone died, no music. If you went out of range, no music. If you clicked a YouTube link, it would suddenly blare out of your speakers. But with Sonos, it's just worked from the moment I unboxed it. It sounds good, even in a large-ish room. The only problem is that I now want more dotted all through the house!

After a number of years of only having streaming music I wanted to get back to the days of rich sound and be able to play my CD's again. My expectations were surpassed by these speakers. Very rich sound at all volume levels. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I have recently started being asked to produce a good number of music videos and that has required me to really step up my game as far as creative presentation is concerned. One of the things I wanted to do was diversify my lighting. These filters give me the ability to convert my current LED panels to creative and moody color light for a fraction of the cost of buying more lights with color shift. I am very happy with it and my clients love the new looks I can create.
