Nvidia Control Panel Best Settings For Gaming Monitor

With regards to enabling HDR in Windows while on desktop. All you have to do is if using an Nvidia card, go into the control panel and manually adjust the contrast, gamma and digital vibrance. This makes the desktop come alive. Thank me later.

I love this. I cut the cord and I'm not looking back. Best of Android and Nvidia. Gaming is really good and the streaming is great. So many differnt apps to chose from. Works great. Loaded Kodi onto it as well. Remotes work great. I have the device in my basement, a floor away in a cabinet and the game and smaller remote work great. I also have a Harmony remote with hub that controls the Nvidia shield as well. Good buy for someone that wants to cut the cord and likes to play a few games.

First, I’m not being PAID for this review. All my research was on-line (user reviews, YouTube, manufacturer, etc..). Since I'm no longer working, my comparative opinion is based on devices I own (iPad Pro, existing monitor, cell phones, etc..). I’m not a professional photographer or content producer (but generally clean up personal photos, etc..) and I do not game on the PC (Playstation is better imo). My initial impression is Wow! Screen image is super nice and much better than the 11-year-old Samsung 22-inch 1080p (TN panel) I have been using. Colors are more vibrant, and the panel is more intense regardless of the brightness setting. Set up is straight forward. I'm using this with Intel Iris Xe graphics and 32GB of system RAM on Windows 11. Connection is with a Mini DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort cable (user supplied) and the monitor is set to 2560 x 1440, with no scaling, running at 75hz. I did update the device settings to use the ASUS monitor drivers (you must manually install them, but this is very easy to do), and I did install the ASUS Chroma Tune software to simplify changing monitor color presets. The monitor itself recognized the miniDP cable connection and preset the audio input controls. This 27-inch 1440p panel is a joy to use. Splitting the screen in half (landscape orientation) for Outlook and Edge, Word and Excel, etc. creates a very normal and enjoyable workspace. Full screen mode for photo editing is impressive, the size and resolution seem to make my PaintShop Pro software function better. While the speakers are tinny, I don't like having external speakers on the desk and the audio output is fine for my needs. While others have mentioned the difficulty of using the monitor’s menu for volume control, I am finding the audio control on my desktop sufficient to control volume without having to change the monitor’s preset level.

Great monitor for gaming and productivity. Being an IPS panel the colors are great but with the downsides of having less contrast when compared to a VA panel. Pick your poison I guess. Overall I am very happy after having switched from a Samsung G9 which while impressive was just too big for my desk.

I bought it for gaming, watching movies, web browsing and i can say it's the best monitor i ever had, but there's still a few negative points. Watching movies/video: It's very enjoyable, image quality is great. However, it doesn't support HDCP 2.2, so there are 4k streaming movies that you won't be able to watch. Gaming: I didn't notice any input lag. There is a tiny but of ghosting, but it's the best i've seen in a VA panel. If you can't stand any kind of ghosting at all however, i'd suggest getting a good gaming TN panel instead of a VA. (trading image quality for less ghosting). It's also worth mentioning that if you want to play recent graphics demanding games at 4k with a stable 60fps, you will need a top-end graphic card. Also worth mentioning that it's a 60hz monitor and that it doesn't suport g-sync and freesync. Light bleeding: I noticed a bit more lightbleed than i'm used to in VA panel, but it's still much less than you'd get with a IPS panel. Flicker-free: I did read conflicting informations about that monitor, but after testing it i can attest that it is a flicker-free monitor, so that's great. Colors: I'm not a professional and i don't use photoshop so i cannot really tell how accurate the color reproduction is. However, i find them very pleasing to the eyes. Anti-Glare: It is not glossy, but i've seen stronger anti-glare in other monitor. I find it great. No vesa mount: Out of the box, it does not support vesa mounting. I did read somewhere that there are adapters that might work with this monitor, but i can't say for sure. No display-port cable included: The box contain a high speed HDMI 2.0 cable, but no display-port cable. Curve: I find it great. If it's the first time you have a curved monitor however, take note that it might take a week or two to get used to it. But once you get used to it, you won't want to go back to a flat monitor. So, very good monitor in my opinion, worth it's price.

I got the M27Q P and it's an amazing panel. The colours are great and it's a champ for gaming. This panel is so fast with zero noticeable ghosting. I almost couldn't believe my eyes considering my previous monitor. Special shout out to B&H who had this monitor delivered to my country within a week! Happy customer.

We purchased to have installed when we had a new unit installed. Best purchase ever!! I can control away from home and it keeps MY comfort settings!!

This was purchased primarily for use as a gaming monitor. Early days, but so far this TV has made my PS5 games look so much better than on my previous TV. Need to tweak the TV picture settings as they are too bright for me but that is straight forward with the many options available through the TV settings menu. Sharp picture, bright image and a sensible stand. Recommended.

I am very pleased with this monitor!! It took me a bit to calibrate the settings that are perfect for me but once I settled in with the right settings, everything was perfect! The viewing angles are excellent, the color on screen while gaming is very detailed, the brightness is *really* up there but its good for those that are into that, it feels sturdy a bit and everything else about it is just about right for me. The ergonomics of the monitor is also excellent and overall: It was the perfect upgrade for me when shopping for a top tier 1440p gaming monitor where I can still do other activities on it as well without breaking the bank. Trust me, you will NOT regret buying this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the box, you can tell that this is an amazing gaming monitor from LG. Very easy to connect stand to monitor, and ready to plug and play in just a few minutes. The monitor is massive! The display is extremely clear and crisp. It has tons onboard options for picture settings, and other features such as a FPS counter, settings for separate gamers preferences, and permanent crosshair for shooting and games that require precision targeting. Also, the 240hz refresh rate is extremely smooth. It was was easy to set up and change the actual monitor settings to my preferences, which is accessed by a four way button at the bottom of the monitor. The multiple HDMI ports are great as well. There is a 3.5mm port on the bottom of the monitor to plug your gaming headset or speakers in. The curvature of the screen makes it much less of a chore to quickly glance from one side of the screen to the other. I only use this monitor for gaming, it is nice to have the option to have multiple screens and devices open at the same time and not affect performance. Overall, I am extremely happy with the monitor and would recommend to anyone looking for a massive gaming monitor. The gaming world has seen huge improvements in graphics and features in gaming and monitors over the past couple of decades and it's only going to get better. My only complaints would be that is not Bluetooth or remote control compatible. Overall, this LG UltraGear gaming monitor is a complete game changer. Pun intended haha
