THUMBS UP SO FAR ! Aside from being 40-lbs lighter and nearly 1/6-the size which takes up considerably less storage space and making it extremely portable, the 2013 update is extremely quiet and shown to be snappy in overall performance with only half the memory ( 16 vs 32-Gb ) as my older 2012 model ; the dual AMD graphics card packing 6-Gb versus older unit makes a big difference running graphics Apps such as Photoshop & SketchUp modeling. I had been holding off purchase of newer MacPro given rumors Apple might be releasing an update after 3-years, which proved to be false. To top it off, it seems to be running fine with latest OS X ( Sierra ) even after migrating information from my older Mac. 5 |

This is a very solid update from Apple. Very fast, very snappy and the new keyboard is absolutely amazing, especially compared to the previous gen. Don't expect to get blown away by the graphics but they are sufficient for light work. I do residential design and I use it for sight measuring, meetings and travel. It performs admirably considering the size and the lack of dedicated graphics. Apple is still hands down the best at making track pads, they make Windows track pads seem prehistoric. Very happy with my purchase, B&H is still my favorite go to tech store. 5 |
