The Shield is a few years old now, but its still awesome. Nvidia did a great job of future-proofing the hardware on this, and they consistently keep the software up-to-date. The remote is simple and functional, and the added benefits of GeForce Now and GameStream are worth the cost if youre into gaming. I actually got the Shield even though I have an LG smart TV... it just doesnt compare to the simplicity of Android TV. Also Android TV doesnt show me sponsored content like my stupid TV does. Although its Google so its almost definitely siphoning all my data to show me ads elsewhere. 5 |

I have a tv whith android tv and its the same UI, but when i plug the nvidia shield and set it up i never imagine tha could be that great. Now prefer use the shield UI instead of tv. 5 |

This is my second NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV Pro and I wouldn't buy anything else. I not only use it as a streamer but as a video player for my large library of movies and TV shows hooked up via USB hard drive. 5 |

I love this. I cut the cord and I'm not looking back. Best of Android and Nvidia. Gaming is really good and the streaming is great. So many differnt apps to chose from. Works great. Loaded Kodi onto it as well. Remotes work great. I have the device in my basement, a floor away in a cabinet and the game and smaller remote work great. I also have a Harmony remote with hub that controls the Nvidia shield as well. Good buy for someone that wants to cut the cord and likes to play a few games. 5 |

Let me start by saying I own the Apple 4K TV and the Nvidia Shield Pro and without a doubt this is the best streaming player out there!! The Apple TV works well but doesn’t pass through Dolby Digital Plus without converting it to PCM which takes a hit on audio quality, Atmos sounds fine, Nvidia Shield Pro can’t match frame rate and stutters all the time which is terribly annoying, but the Roku Ultra plays everything perfect and smooth as silk and passes the audio straight through and the picture is absolutely stunning through this box!! Save your money and get this you will not be disappointed!! 5 |

I finally decided to sign up for a streaming TV service, but my circa 2016 Samsung Smart TV was too old to run the latest streaming apps. After doing a LOT of comparison of Roku, Fire, etc. I settled on the NVIDIA SHIELD TV and I'm extremely happy. I wanted a device that could support Gigabit ethernet (instead of operating via WiFi) and the SHIELD fit the bill. The only other device that fully supports Gigabit ethernet is Apple TV, but since I'm already in the Android ecosystem the NVIDIA SHIELD was really a no-brainer. Very satisfied user. 5 |
